it's just regular MuslihaT (4th@Toronto NANPC)

DKMode 16

Like with the associated AU Co deck, this version has some improvements from what I actually ran at NANPC, and I think it's a lot better than that one. I was not happy with the version I had there, which felt like I had tons of draw but not enough to use it on. In any case, that one had:

  • Just 1x of each breaker - ultimately this made it feel like I never had breakers when I needed them, which made it harder to commit to runs, which is the whole thing MuslihaT wants to be doing.
  • No Cezve (stupid, bad).
  • 2x Leech - ultimately not that useful for the deck, with Cezves and Debbie "Downtown" Moreira you have solid run economy to pay for breaking with. I put in an extra copy of Ritual with the influence instead, because it always felt good to use.
  • 2x Lie Low - I never really like using this card and MuslihaT's natural draw is good enough that I don't think she needs to rely on it much. Still good in a bind, or to get rid of tags on certain matchups, so I wanted to keep a copy in regardless.
  • 2x Mutual Favor - kept one of these in for emergencies but had to make some cuts to fit in 2x of every breaker. This makes the breaker density stronger overall. I always forget that breakers trigger MuslihaT too, not just Run events, so having more of them in the deck is good.
  • 45 cards instead of the current one's 46. Ultimately I think every card here is validated, and one card over the minimum isn't too bad, especially with the identity text.

I don't think there's anything here that's super out of the ordinary for MuslihaT. I like the Finality because it's a fun extra wincon you can have once your board state is setup if all else fails. Ideally you've got at least two The Twinning counters to make that run worth it, though you probably already know that. I'm running Ritual instead of Dr. Nuka Vrolyck because it felt right, and it's been fine! I could see myself changing that in the future but I haven't felt limited in my draw at all, so I'll save the install click.

Any other reflections on NANPC in general are better covered in the notes for the other decklist. It was an honour to be make it to top cut for the first time and I hope that next time I can validate it better! Shoutouts to Torsaug once again.
