This deck went 7-0 at the Troy, IL store championship on 1-31-15. There were 25 participants at the tournament.
There's not a whole lot to say about this deck. It's simple HB Fast Advance. It is a bit slower than Fastrobiotics, but the deck is a lot more fun to play and the ICE is definitely better.

The NEXT Ice are simply there for cheap ETR subroutines. For very little money you can create very taxing servers with NEXT Ice. They are also great parasite bate. Another thing to note is that they can not be clicked through, so you can easily score behind a single NEXT Ice against Eater/Keyhole. The deck is currently a pretty good match-up against Eater/Keyhole. Biotic Labor is great in this match-up, and it is very hard for an Eater deck to trash SanSan. Make sure you make R&D and HQ as taxing as possible to get through. If the Runner has to be 7+ credits to get through R&D, they will be not be able to keyhole very often. If you feel you need Crisium Grid, I would likely make the following changes. But I do not think it is necessary. -2 Pop-Up Window +2 Crisium Grid -1 Eve Campaign -1 Domestic Sleepers +1 Quandry +1 Enigma Hope that helps! :) |

Good point; thank you. One other question: how do you use/play Domestic Sleepers? Do you let it sit in your hand and score other agendas first, because it is "safe" for the Runner to steal it, since it has no value? I've seen it appear in a few FA decks. Why is that? Why not free up those two card slots to improve economy, or ICE, or to round out any weaknesses? It is essentially "6 clicks +1: gain 1 agenda point". |

Could 1 copy of Mandatory Upgrades be included, maybe replacing an NAPD? If they steal it, it's only 2 AP. If you score it behind your cheap ETR ICE early, you now have a permanent "Biotic Labor" available to Fast Advance with. |

Please forgive another question; I have only been playing Netrunner for a few weeks, and I am still learning the basics of "when to do things and how". A significant amount of your credit economy is reliant on the Campaigns. How many remotes do you have, and what do they look like? Do you have 1 scoring remote that has 2 pieces of ICE (and more, if it seems necessary as game develops) and one economy/asset remote that has 1 piece of ICE? Or do you install the Eve's naked in a second remote? Because it takes 3 turns for her to return the 5 that you invested in rezzing her. I'm just a bit confused about the tension that FA seems to contain:
So what's the balance between Rushing and Building? Any counsel on how to pilot a Fast Advance strategy would be greatly appreciated! |

That said, for a competitive deck, hoping for a very situational ICE/Agenda combo is a bad play. Attempting to traditionally score in an FA deck is always a struggle. |

Generally in a game I score 3 of my Accelerated Beta Tests and/or Project Vitrivius along with 1 of the one-point agendas. If it is the end of the game, then scoring one of the Domestic Sleepers is very easy and does not require any fast advance cards to use it. If it is near the beginning of the game, I will use a fast advance card to score Gila Hands for the extra economy, and Domestic Sleepers becomes an agenda that is safe for the runner to steal. I generally put my assets in naked remotes, and I sometimes hide them behind a single Popup Window. That way if the runner trashes it they must spend an extra credit and I gain an extra credit. If they trash EVE, I have lost 1 credit and they have lost 6. This is fine for me. |
I'm curious about the NEXT Ice suite. Can you please explain its role? Is it treated as simple ETR Ice, in which to provide early scoring windows? Because I've played with it a few games, and it seemed that Runners can just pay a few creds and keep on running through the server.
Thank you.
