Oxford PE (Actually Real)

"Even an Ox's shadow is a cause for dispute."

This is THE Oxford PE deck, no matter what anyone else tells you. It's proven entertainingly powerful, going 3-1 in the UK Southwest Regional and gaining a strong winrate at the weekly games night. Also of note - Other than the game I lost, this deck was consistently one of the first matches at the tournament to finish, giving me a useful rest period.

This deck puts the runner in the agonising position of needing know exactly what is on the board at all times, which usually involves checking a lot of traps with their face. Ideally, you'll want to get a Snare! or Urtica Cipher down ASAP, ideally using Mitosis to put some advancements on and give you an unappetising target for the runner so you can fire Hangeki or Trick of Light off of them.

Don't have one? Don't worry! Bluff agendas out or utilise an NGO Front or Nightmare Archive instead. One of the great advantages of this deck is it has multiple routes to securing agendas or securing a kill that can net (damage) you a win. If your opponent is checking everything, you can feed them up to -6 points and all sorts of traps until they stop. If your opponent isn't running enough, deploy some Reaper Function's or agenda scoring to take them out.

Ideally, you don't want to be scoring agendas out unless you're forced to. A double-advanced Sting! on the table that the runner isn't checking is 2 net damage whenever you want it, going up to 3 or 4 if they steal the others. Keep an eye on their hand and if they ever have 4 or less, it's very possible to close a game out with some combination of Reaper Function, Sting! or Blood in the Water.

As for its weaknesses, it deliberately runs really ICE light. The first version originally only had Otoroshi but I've added some of the more punishing gear checks to slow the runner down a bit. Multi-access isn't a problem, but rearranging like Cataloguer is. You also need to monitor your money - NGO Front is a friend here - as there is no worse feeling than the runner hitting a snare that you can't afford.

So this is Oxford PE! City of Spires, City of Spikes.
