This list is part of a series of decks used to make the jump from Startup to Standard easier for newer players. These decks keep Startup-legal IDs but add a few Standard cards to make them competitive while keeping them approachable.

This list is adapted from leachrode's Hotel Cambridge list, top crim at Worlds 2021. Here's some tips on the non-Startup cards:

  • The list has two non-Startup breakers: Paperclip is a solid barrier breaker and should be trashed and installed from the heap (for click economy). Aumakua is the bread and butter of crim breakers. It synergizes with Falsified Credentials and Deuces Wild when exposing cards.
  • We want to run HQ for Steve's ability, and Diversion of Funds provides a sweet added credit swing, and keeps the corp poor.
  • For tempo positive tag-removal, Deuces Wild and Citadel Sanctuary.
  • Miss Bones can be considered a Scrubber on steroids, especially strong to blow up upgrade-heavy remotes or keep asset spam at bay.
  • The Turning Wheel is a great multiaccess option while pressuring centrals.
