Sneak Job

Antler 42

I've decided to get back into Netrunner, but all I have is this probably shitty deck. While I only have 1x Core Set and a Creation and Control pack, feedback would be grrreatly appreciated, feel free to rip it apart!

You can consider The Maker's Eye instead of Demolition Run to have some pressure on R&D. You already have good pressure on HQ with HQ Interface and Corp will probably ICE it heavily because You are Gabe and every Crim plays Account Siphon.

BTW: HQ Interface is not from Core Set nor C&C. :)

@Ver Thanks! I got the HQ Interfaces off a friend of mine, so I own all these cards. I'll playtest some with Makers Eye, putting Demolition Run in there was mostly because I like the idea of dumping someones hand if/when I have a couple of HQ Interfaces up.

Try to diversify Your ways to win. Since You are threatening HQ with Siphon, Interfaces, Sneakdoor and Demolition Run, Corp will probably put some heavy ICE there or even some upgrades - Crisium Grid or even Caprice Nisei. It is a standard procedure against a Criminal cause Siphon is pain. Then You can attack R&D which should be protected lighter. Or hunt for remote. Corp has only finite amount of ICE.

Also You can consider swapping Lemuria Codecracker for Crash Space - will give You another protection from meat damage and free credits to remove tags but it depends on Your local playerbase. In my local meta there is a lot of tagging and Scorched Earth.

@Ver Great point, I'll switch out the Demolition Jobs for Makers Eye and and get rid of the Lemuria too. Mostly been playing with friends that use my own HB deck without any meat damage, so I've undervalued Crash Space because of that. But yeah, I'll sneak another one in there. Thanks a bunch though!

If you want to keep the Demo Runs (which is a great and fun idea! Can also be useful to get rid of an unwanted card on R&D, especially early as they may want to keep money for the HQ protection, you could swap a Gordian for a Peacock. Peacock isn't good, but it can suffice if needed, and with Special Order, you can still grab the Blade if they start stacking nasty Code Gates. That would leave you with another influence for some random card. Could be Datasucker, could be something else. Some good shaper card out of Creation perhaps.

Except Peacock is not in core. Core crim has no in-faction decoder, how about that.

What do you people think of Cyber-Cypher with a focus on HQ to make HQ runs easier

I think it's best to stick with Gordian Blade with the cards you have available. While CyCy makes runs cheaper, keeping two around strains MU, especially because it forces you to also always have #Crypsis for breaking remote code gates.

I was thinking of one CyCy and one Blade, so it would be both. At the sacrifice of one Gordian Blade.

Try it, seems reliable enough. But bear in mind that You have no recurrsion, so if corp manage to trash that one Gordian Blade, You are stuck with Cyber-Cypher
