Hello All

I'm off to a new guys tournament in a few weeks. The idea is you can only use three core sets and one deluxe set to make both the Runner and Corps decks. I have Kate and HB decks I'm quite happy with but I can been looking at if there are better options.

I'm currently thinking that I should swap to Criminal, this would mean looking at Jinteki. I'm not sure about what makes a good Jinteki deck so I would like some advice please. I think I have added enough tricks to keep the runner honest and to play the shell game (maybe...????). The idea is to either win by scoring agenda or Flat Lining with Tags and SE/Neural EMP.

Just some ideas, but I should say that I am not a tournament player. Cerebral Cast is an in-faction option to tag the runner, so it seems to fit the meat and net damage theme of your deck. Tori Hanzō goes well with Data Mine. Agenda density is quite low for black tree; maybe you can cut some of the assets or operations for 3 House of Knives. There is no cheap ice, so Pup seems a good choice, and maybe some Ice Walls.

The deck seems like it is trying to do different things which work against each other. Medical Research Fundraiser and Mental Health Clinic both make the Sea Source/Scorch Combo less likely to fire, and make the brain damage less damaging too.

The large agendas are also too slow for PE, which wants one pointers to do maximum net damage. You've got the beginnings of a good Tennin deck though, if you want to play the never advance shell game. I'd swap over the scorches for Biotic Labours to rush out an early Nisei, switch Melange for pads and put in more psychic fields/shi.kyu instead of junebugs?

Needs House of Knives. And I'd cut Tori Hanzō if you aren't also running Hokusai Grid, and even then 5 is a pretty steep effect for a single brain damage.

Melange Mining Corp. can help with your money situation but in PE I'd expect no more than to fire it once. Drop the Mental Health Clinic for PAD Campaign, and maybe look at picking up a Genetics Pavilion or Lockdown, both of which would help you here I think.
