Triple Threat RH (6-2, 2nd @ July AMT)

I piloted this riff on punitive RH to 2nd at the July AMT. While it performed really well generally, its flaws showed in its 2-2 record on the day. I was mostly carried by my Zahya list, which you should also check out.

Basically, there are two notable changes to the main line version, we cut 2x Spin Doctors and 1x YDL and add 1x Angelique Garza Correa and 1x Helheim Servers.

The idea is a sacrifice a bit of draw/econ for more a more robust set of defensive upgrades that play into our game plan and complicate runner calculations. Any card in the root of a central could threaten (1) bouncing you w/ Anoetic Void, (2) hitting you w/ 4 damage on the Fujii steal (or a probably* lethal 6 if we dump 2 in archives) before the Punitive, or (3) making you eat this Saisentan with Helheim Servers.

Angelique can also help us close with a clutch extra damage if they only barely survive the double Punitive.

We try to make-up for the lost draw/recursion by subbing the Spins for Simulation Reset, which is clutch when you need another bite at the apple for the second Punitive following a Bacterial Programming steal. While strictly worse than Spin, it fits pretty nicely into some of our most critical lines.

Essentially, I want them to have to guess whether it was a Anoetic Void or something else. This spread lets any facedown install threaten unexpected violence via your ICE (Helheim, the access Angelique, or their bank account after they get bounced (Void.

Sounds great in theory, but most of these spicy additions didn't matter in my games very much. Never saw Helheim and Angelique did non-trivial chip damage, but I believe in their potential still. You definitely feel the lack of a 3rd YDL, but the draw recursion replacement felt fine. Maybe its just no Angelique and take the 2nd Helheim and 3rd YDL or something idk.

Very fun to play, but given how much Lat there has been lately (and it was everywhere at the AMT) I'm not sure its a good meta call. Both losses were to Lats and we clocked wins against Zahya and Tao.
