Win before the bell ring

This is an attempt to speed up an earlier form of this deck.

Game plan : Deep Dive early and win.

Mulligan plan : Mystic Maemi or Aniccam or Basilar Synthgland 2KVJ.

Matryoshka allow us to setup an icebreaker early and cost only 3 for an icebreaker with a strength of 2. Yes, rig shooting is the bane of this deck, but this is the price of speed.

In other iteration of this deck, I used Marrow to get back to an hand size of 5. Then, I tried with Hippocampic Mechanocytes, since I do not need the MU. But it cost tempo (loss of a card) and does not give us any tempo. The solution was Aniccam. Because we'll get it by turn 3, it will draw at least one card a turn for the next 7 to 9 turns. 3 for 9 cards, yes please! And it is the equivalent of having +1 hand size, since it also trigger for damage on the corp turn, which is enough to save us from ONE Punitive Counterstrike.

Bahia Bands is further click compression since it draw AND install after a run. That card is so good. It should be considered for most runner. And here, is synergize with Fencer Fueno, which also help with trashing stuff.

Inside Job and Tread Lightly further speed us up by making us less reliant on having all our Matryoshka early.

The secret sauce, and MVP card of this deck, is DJ Fenris (with Steve Cambridge: Master Grifter). This makes us resilient to losing Deep Dive. It also let us get back helpful cards like any of our run events.

This deck has won multiple games by turn 7! Not always, but when it does, you'll feel the speed of this!

If you cannot win before 12th turn, things might become hard, since the corp player will probably have one of the central with 3 ices deep protection, making it impossible to run every centrals.

Still, it is quite fun and exciting to balance out economy and draw to go for more speed. I hope you'll enjoy this like I did.

Cheers!

@soarix, thanks for the recommendation.

@Gyro88, it is a load of fun! While DJ Fenris is MVP, Tread Lightly can really pull it's weight. In one game, the corp player protected a remote with M.I.C. and Bran 1.0, for a total of 18. The loss of that much economy made Deep Dive much easier to pull off. I'm sure you'll enjoy this.

Cheers!
