I tried faust kate for a while and didn't like it. Back on the normal rig.
Took down my SC today with this, going 4-0 against an astrobiotics, a butchershop NEH, an RP, and a butchershop haarp. Double plasc saved my butt against harp.

Hyperdriver can be as good as a diesel and gamble stapled together (when you got proco + TW). Late game it is blank but you don't need help late game. |

I've been busy with work since then and haven't, so to say, "had my ear to the pulse of the meta". So, yes, kinda? I would recommend this over whizzard only if (a) you were already an expert kate player, and want your skill with shaper to be rewarded rather than hoping for wyldside in your opening 5, or (b) your meta is heavily teched against whiz with all sorts of PE/IG/CI decks. (It also has a slightly better NEH matchup.) |

Yeah, I played a lot of PrePaid Kate. I like the Shaper tools, but I hate using MOpus. Lots of people here are playing E. Mills, so that shuts off Aesops and Personal Workshop pretty well. I'll give this a try. It's just frustrating that I haven't had decks I'm comfortable with since pre-MWL. (I was playing PPK and Foodcoats.) |

This engine is pretty good. Not as strong as hayley's resource econ but your early game is a little better. It's pretty vulnerable to corptown or all-seeing, so don't shave either of the plascretes, tempting as it may seem. The faust version is ok as well (-1 lady, -1 stimhack, -1 atman, -1 cycy, +1 faust,+1 astrolabe, +2 whatever the hell you want) but this way is way better against ETF and a little better against kill. |

I hate Faust. Honestly, I just want to play something that's not Wylde Pancakes or Faust. |
Maybe I should go back to this. The Faust Kate deck is good, I think, but has a really awkward time dealing with a HB with 3x Ichi 1.0 and 2x Ichi 2. I wanted Atman/Stimhack all day today. Still did really well, but man, Datasucker, Stimhack, and Atman are good damn cards.
