This list is the result of at least a month of testing different different consoles, always coming to the conclusion, that they are just too slow.* But after a prior month of getting Hermes/Tao-brained, I decided to go with Hermes, which is cheap and reliable and forces most corps into awkward and exploitable situations. This was especially notable in a game against Virulentz, where we turned 5 ice into 2.
We are playing a lot of singles that always show up when we need them: Drawing Miss Bones and Hannah "Wheels" Pilintra within two clicks, two games in a row felt like cheating. I always pile shuffle so it's just pure skill tbh.
Raindrops Cut Stone might be my favorite card right now, especially against HB, where you want to force early Gatekeeper rezzezs, this card just feels like an invitation to just ShiaLebeouf.mp4 it. I know less risk averse players tend combine it with Tsakhia "Bankhar" Gantulga, but I like my singles in my hand, thank you very much.
I honestly believe people are sleeping hard on Num, so many of it's breakpoints are just barely worse than Carmen and additionally, you are rarely locked out entirely by a mean facecheck. The saddest break might be Winchester on HQ.
Gachapon is the result of an intense debate with Angelbot5000, as I often didn't like my The Price hits, being on so many singles. However slotting in 2 Fermenters made this card great the entire weekend. I still believe The Price is the overall better card, but it requires a complete overhaul of the list.
The companion suite could probably be -1 Paladin Poemu +1 Mystic Maemi as both feel great in this list. The only one you're not happy to find early is Trickster Taka, but Taka is important click compression for the lategame with The Twinning.
Takobi didn't matter the entire day safe for one game, where it won me the game. It could probably be cut for 2 Leech.
Finality is a great burst multiaccess, when you need to bounce agendas back to HQ with Hermes and the fact that it stacks with The Twinning makes it even better. I've had some bad hit's with it over the weekend, but I wouldn't cut it down to 1, as Steve Cambridge: Master Grifter makes it a pretty safe toolbox discard.
I never got to use Tsakhia "Bankhar" Gantulga over the weekend, being matched against 3 NEH, but i am also not bold enough to facecheck with it, so it stays as a reminder to be bold and touch agendas.
My favourite game the entire tournament a loss against rongydoge on NEH, which is my proudest game of the weekend. Watching @Deer dismantle me the day before on in Startup gave me a lot of info on how to approach this matchup. I was very close to ugly crying after this game having just been told, that this was one of the toughest game of the day so far... Thanks for a great game of Netrunner.
I got quite close to taking a game off of @cableCarnage as well, but i misjudged the board, leading me to float tags instead of playing it safe.
This list feels amazing against Outfit, great against PD/Asa, surprisingly good against kill NEH and bleh against rush Ob. I went 4-4 on the day with it.
This is probably the best Netrunner I've played in my short Netrunner career - by a mile actually. I am very proud of where I placed, but I am also just very thankful to have played a ton of great games of Netrunner. I went into Sunday quite defeated - having been swept twice the day prior. Deciding not to 241, instead looking to just play good Netrunner, I came back from my slump with 2 sweeps against @Virulentz and @Safr, both of which were great sports and brought some fun decks to the torunament.
Thanks to ddark, Tradon, rongydoge, cableCarnage, Bartman, BaRamWuu, Virulentz, Safr and headmoth for making this weekend great. All of you made this an amazing experience. (Special thanks to rongy and cableCarnage for boosting my SoS :v )
Even more thanks, hugs and kisses to the Berlin Netrunner crew: Girometics, MsPajamas, Mirilu, Locker, lazychef, Watzlav, yehonathan_, Jokunn and Angelbot500. You made the entire week very special and were great testing partners. Congrats to Miri on the 23rd placement. Congrats to girometics on brewing up a great A Teia list.
Extra Special Thanks to NSG and everyone who made this thing happen. You gave me memories I will not forget for a long time! <3
*: Yes, I believe that Patchwork is too slow. No, I will not slow down to install a Maw. Keiko is the worst it's ever been imho.
