HB: Agile Development v1.0 [SG]

Basic System Gateway HB deck.

Not much to talk about here. Fairly standadard HB “never-advance” strategy. This follows the following steps:

  1. Install Agenda in a remote server
  2. Don’t advance it this turn, to avoid tipping off the Runner that it is an Agenda
  3. On the next corp turn, quickly score it using Seamless Launch

This strategy is not foolproof, and the runner will definitely catch on after the first agenda if they haven’t already. The trick is combining this with the ice, assets, and upgrades to secure that agenda for just long enough:

  • Ice like Pharos and Karunā are especially annoying to get through. Use this to slow the runner down so they make less runs on servers.
  • Bioroid Ice such as Ansel 1.0 and Brân 1.0 can be clicked through for critical access during a potential scoring window, but doing this at the wrong time will cost the runner some of their most precious resources: time. This is an especially good trap when combined with...
  • Manegarm Skunkworks. If this card is rezzed under the right circumstances, it’s an automatic ETR. The surprise will only work a few times, so instead it may be worth using this as part of a shell game to get the runner to spend resources running almost-empty servers housing nothing but unrezzed skunkworks - since we'll never be advancing our agendas early. This has the nice bonus of a relatively expensive 3c trash cost.
  • There’s also a single Urtica Cipher- the mere sight of which will spook runners into the possibility of a trap.
  • Spin Doctor and Sprint provide some draw manipulation, helping to shuffle untimely agendas back to R&D. If played at the right time, this might mean we can avoid Icing HQ entirely, especially as our hand size increases in the late game. Additionally, Spin Doctor grants a second use of cards like Seamless Launch - supplemented by our ID. Not to mention Ansel 1.0 and Brân 1.0's "install from archives" ability, if it gets to fire.
