Wormhole on Checkpoint is the new classic. I prefer Fire Wall over Ice Wall but it depends on your econ. GRNDL Refinery? The Root or PAD Campaign? Errand Boy over Hunter? Looks pretty tight, but I will warn you, Turn one, you HAVE to ice your R&D or you risk an immediate loss due to Government Takeover.

I had GRNDL Refinery in an earlier version, but felt like I needed to cut it for Dedicated Response Team. Raven + DRT = tears unless they have unlimited credits to burn or are playing Qianju PT or use Decoy (which I do in my Iain deck).

The Hunter is there for some early tagging. Unless they can recycle a Faerie every turn for 4 or so turns or waste their Dino on a Mimic, this one will tax them mildly, and isn't Parasite bait like Errand Boy would be.

About ICE on R&D - trust me, that is always where it goes. :) I top-decked 9 points off someone else's Argus about a month ago at a Store Championship on turn 1 with a Maker's Eye, so I know that pain. The guy managed to basically do the same thing to me when we switched...but it took him forever, and my Argus back then wasn't nearly as polished as I believe it to be now.

Thank you for the post, Cats! :)

I've been looking forward to seeing your build since you commented on mine, and it doesn't disappoint! It's the exact opposite of my build, but it still looks brutal. I like that Argus seems to have decent flexibility.

I absolutely love Hive in low agenda density decks. I run 1 in my Harmony MedTech, and it's glorious watching the runner faceplant into it. That also lets you run currents to some considerable effect, and Paywall Implementation is awesome. How does it typically impact your economy? Hunter is an interesting choice, for sure. How do you find it working for you? I like its affordability, as trading 1 cred for a continual tax seems like a pretty decent trade-off. I'm still working to put DRT back into my Argus, since it synergizes so well with Data Raven.

I'll save this for later and test it out. I want to test multiple parts of Argus' spectrum, and this looks fun :)

Thanks for the kudos, Slo. :D

In simulation draws here, and sometimes on OCTGN, I find myself with mild doubt afterwards...but I have to remember and tell myself that online draws/games do not, repeat NOT, tell the whole story. It's like that scene in The Fly when Goldblum cooks one pork chop normally and puts the other one in his teleporter. The teleported chop tastes "synthetic" according to dialogue, so there ya have it.

Paywall works great for me here. It's cheaper to play than Housekeeping, and unlike Housekeeping, no matter when you draw it, it's worth at least 3 to 5 extra credits of drip to you. Drawing Housekeeping too late makes it useless to even have...damn random draws. The real appeal, though, is when you have that in play and then drop down a Subliminal. Lots of folks include a 1 of Subliminal in their Corp decks, and I'm beginning to see why. It's an incentive for the runner to do just that...to run. :) So with that combo, I get drip regardless.

As for the Hunters, I figure that Mimic runners will hate its guts...Faerie runners will pay 2 and then might pay afterwards during an access...and Shapers will end up paying to SMC something out. Also, like I stated above, it's not viable 2nd or 3rd turn Parasite bait since it'll take a few extra turns to wilt.

I love this deck, and hope that some shock value comes out of it as well as the whole Argus thing that says "You know it's coming, but you STILL can't stop it!" :) Keep me posetd, slo, and I hope it does well for ya! :)
