Stealthy Baba - FTW Store Champs

Last updated

Description

Trying a less idealised and more realistic version of this for store champs - swapped Morningstar for Inti, and some associated changes.

First goal is to get Baba Yaga with Faerie on it, as a sentry breaker so facechecking is a little safer. This also lets you spend Smoke's pumping strength during runs to build up stealth money (or draws) with Net Mercur. Then aim for Houdini, which provides cheap strength that lasts the whole run. Morning Star needs saved up for, but is the cheapest way to break barrier subroutines - hopefully the initial investment will pay off in cheap runs. Yog.0 isn't necessary (and should be sacrificed to make room for Clot if the Mem Chip hasn't shown up), but does eliminate subroutine costs for code gates.

This full rig takes a lot of money (and some time) to set up, but once it is, Smoke's stealth credit + 1 real credit gives +4 strength for the whole run, and earns a Net Mercur credit, which can be spent with a second real credit for a total of 8 strength that lasts the whole run. Any ice higher-strength than 8 can still be broken with spare Net Mercur credits on more Houdini use, or regular credits on Faerie's pump ability. Code gate and Sentry subs are free, so the cost beyond strength is 1 per barrier. Since runs only use one , Mirror recovers all your reccuring credits, and the minimal cost in regular credits should mean multiple runs can be made per turn once the rig is complete.

Ice to be aware of are Turing on remotes (which can't stop the R&D lock), and Swordsman (which can be broken by Faerie, provided there's a spare Clone Chip or Sacrificial Construct to keep it alive

Armitage Codebusting is intended to provide some early boosts to economy, and assuming the rig gets set up, the fact it doesn't last won't matter. Fan Site and Artist Colony are both to help fetch pieces and to aid in potentially earning a league achievement (forfeit two agendas).

To consider: Different/more economy options. Inti as a cheap barrier breaker until ready to install Morning Star. Test Run and Scavenge. The Personal Touch has actually proven useful on a Baba Yaga that boosts four in a previous deck, so could be useful here?
