Weyland: We'll Build a Wall.

Namepls 51

Shout out to @eadipus for their 'Code Gates are Perfect' RP deck that inspired this idea.

I decided to take the single ICE type rig destruction archetype to Weyland for their cheap Barriers, strong rush agendas and economy.

I felt it was going to be janky, and I'm sure it's got a lot of optimising to do but I've played a dozen or so games on jinteki.net with it and won almost all of them against all 3 factions. They were all very fun games too which is the important thing for me.

Game plan is simple. Try to rush out an Oaktown Renovation behind a cheap barrier early. Get your barriers out and then use whatever icebreaker destruction card is appropriate when they get their fracter/ai out. Follow up with Blacklist or Ark Lockdown if needed and score out behind your now seemingly towering Ice Wall. Bonus points if you catch them ditching Paperclip for the instant install.

Some of the the more interesting card choices:

Executive Boot Camp Does a lot of work. A silver bullet vs Blackmail spam and Leela which also lets you tutor your Jackson Howard and Blacklist.

Marcus Batty Use with Cobra to kill off their breakers. If you can bait out the Rumor Mill, you can kill it with a Hostile Takeover. Good all around breaker destruction.

Will-o'-the-Wisp Not so great against shaper with their SMC shenanigans. Blacklist and Ark Lockdown help if they are relying on Clone Chip to get their SMC back though. Very effective vs anarch though.

Enforcing Loyalty Great vs shaper and particularly against criminal as they so often use anarch fracters.

Power Shutdown Probably the weakest for killing fracters unless you see it early. It is GREAT against SMC though, which has saved me a couple of games.

Wraparound The speed bump for Faust/Eater. Be careful putting it on your scoring remote as D4v1d is very hard to remove.

Vanilla Saved me vs Siphon spam a couple of times when they think I can't rez anything. In one case it was a siphon into Knifed. That alone earns it a spot.

Ice Wall Another way of surviving Parasite until you can install more ice.

Archer I will probably swap this out for Grim. This deck doesn't care about bad pub and Archer is just there as a means to fire Marcus Batty that is reasonably safe from Parasite.

That's about it. Pretty straight forward. There are a lot of things I want to put in such as an extra Jackson Howard or a Swordsman and a third Beanstalk Royalties for recovering from Siphon but I just can't figure what to cut at the moment. I would also like to up the ice count but I find I need all those econ cards to keep ahead of the runner to afford Enforcing Loyalty.

This is my first scratch built for fun deck that I'm happy with. Let me know what you think.

Why not having 3 Cyberwall instead of Hostile Takeover ? :)

@Zanis As much fun as scoring Superior Cyberwalls would be, sadly it's just not worth it. :( The Hostile Takeover are needed for clearing currents and quick cash influxes for recovering from siphon etc. Also this deck doesn't care how strong the barrier is because we aren't trying to tax the runner, we are trying to make sure the runner can't deal with any barrier. Even Vanilla.

Hi ! I was looking for a pure Weyland rush deck, without kill. Let's try this ! I like Weyland agenda but I don't like time and money wasted trying to kill the runner, the runners attack, the corps defend, right ? Thank's for sharing.
