My first iteration of my MaxX deck that I've been playing via proxy for a few days now with a very consistent win rate. It's a very straight forward deck designed to pull cards and run with what you've drawn, hence running heavy multiples of everything and abusing Eater as much as possible throughout the game.
The goal is simple: make cash, run and smash everything you absolutely can and don't stop until it's over.
The deck is incredibly event heavy largely due to newer releases making me experiment newer builds. With the recent flood of stronger events into the Anarch card pool I've leaned towards utilizing a Prepaid VoicePAD deck for MaxX to compress actions as much as possible as quite a few of these events are action intensive. One thing to note is that I run very heavy on 3x copies in this deck to help see cards early and also to avoid having to recur what I don't have to, every card is very general with a straight forward use which I think is very important when you're self trashing so many cards.
So far this deck has been very fun and proven to be strong simply by the raw power at which MaxX burns cards, giving you plenty of options throughout the game.
Below is some card rundown slots for those interested.
No Same Old Thing? So far I haven't found a card in this deck worth warranting the slots over just running extra copies. A lot of the events take extra actions to use effectively, making it a bit of a weaker choice for inclusion, so I didn't bother with it and just ran more copies instead. At worst you can just Déjà Vu or Levy AR Lab Access if you really want that discarded card into play
Day Job is a crazy strong card and basically took my Daily Casts slot in first testing and I absolutely adore the money this makes. Sacrificing a turn to play this beast is worth it, it's money in the immediate to stop you stalling economically and keep up the rampant pressure that MaxX provides. Much like Lucky Find, Prepaid VoicePAD makes it sing.
Levy AR Lab Access functions as your clock rewinder if the game is going on too long against a particular attrition-heavy deck like Jinteki: Personal Evolution. Don't worry about ditching this and keep a Deja Vu back in reserve if you're concerned about using it. I've popped this exactly once in 9 games.
Wanton Destruction is a ridiculously good card, especially against any combo-centric corp deck. This is actually my aggressive defense against Weyland in particular and I like to use this as much as possible to trash any Scorched Earth that might be lurking in HQ. Keyhole is great here for sniping additional ones in R&D with Steelskin doubling as protection in this match up. Wanton Destruction is one of the few cards I will Deja Vu back over programs because it is incredibly strong.
Prepaid Voicepad is actually a bit of a flex slot in this deck and is pretty interchangeable with other cards. I've ran Josh B to really push the speed advantage home and experimented with Stim Dealer, feel free to experiment with these slots but I've found myself really appreciating what a few early PPVPs can do for pushing the decks economy into overdrive in the mid-game.
Clone Chip & Retrieval Run are my go to methods for getting a rig into play quickly. With 3x copies of Eater and Keyhole, one of them tends to end in the heap very quickly and Retrieval Run is a great way of getting them back, especially when discounted with PrePaids. After that the recursion is great for just recycling Parasites for ICE destruction, or simply getting D4v1ds into play and saving those Deja Vus!
Eater is very strong and allows you to completely abuse centrals without much downside with Keyhole, HQ tends to get assaulted by Wanton Destruction or using Knight for regular card access if really needed. The one weakness of Eater is actual lack of remote pressure, hence the addition of Knight which needs to be supported with Parasites to get acccess quickly. Knight also doubles for late-game archive running to steal agendas from Keyhole and Wanton Destruction. Grimoire here helps with mid-run Parasite pressure and solving MU issues.

Thanks, glad you liked it! So far it's been very fast and consistent, the lack of tricks or combos helps quite a bit, but it's been flexible enough to keep strong throughout the game. Plus as soon as you read her ID you can't help but think challenge accepted. |
Love the deck, very straight forward I bet it's consistent as hell!
