L17 banlist removed Paperclip, Simulchip and even Retrieval Run. This seemed deliciously exploitable. Neurospike means you don't need to completely shut down their rig, just combo out before they find their backup :)

Thoth did nothing for the entire tournament. Navi Mumbai stops boomerangs, saving you an extra ice layer on the remote.
