Swordsman hasn't seen much play in my local Meta and usually it boils down to two possible ways. 1) - if Swordsman gets played it usually is only a one of include and that leads to 2) the chance of milling it is given and even if the Corp gets to install and rez it you can come back with Clone Chip or Déjà Vu. Since this Deck is rather sentimental with its Viruses the only targets for Déjà Vu are usually Incubator and the occasional Gorman Drip v1. Concerning Data Folding, I rarely run into that problem to be honest. Hivemind, Darwin and Gravedigger get installed on Progenitor everything else is hostable on Djinn which is also your tutor for the Viruses. The newest version of this Deck has made the following changes: -1 Crypsis, -1 Virus Breeding Ground and -1 Djinn Added 3 Sure Gamble for it. I am having a rather succesful streak with this deck and have not encounter any of the issues you mentioned. |

I do like the inclusion of Sure Gamble, more econ with Noise is always better. I can see how Data Folding could stay on for a while with all of the daemons you're running. So about your Swordsman comment, I can see how that can be true, especially with specifically Swordsman. But how about a much more common occurrence: going up against HB with Enhanced Login Protocol and Turing? Your only out here is to steal an agenda. Even after you steal one, you still have to spend your entire turn running at that one server, and that's only if Turing is the only ICE in front of it. Most HB players I know run 2 Turings and at least 2 ELP. Do you just say, "screw it, going for the mill strategy?" |

I have yet to deal with Turing and see how much it impacts the game. The idea with this deck basically is - if you are shut out in one way or the other, you can still mill 2 to 4 cards a turn if you just keep adding Virus tokens to Hivemind and then use Gravedigger - that's what I usually do against Jinteki: Replicating Perfection - but only if there is no other way to deal with their sheninigans. I'm currently contemplating to remove one Lucky Find and add one Deep Thought instead and get some quality mills by knowing which card comes up next. But it's another piece which might slow me down. On the other hand I've been in games where this set up resulted in the corp going into purge frenzy and realising too late, that I set up the trigger for Deep Thought with just two clicks in average. If you know your weaknesses you can try to play around it but so far I've been having quite some success with this deck. Have to take it to a tournament yet, though. |
The three Sure Gamble were supposed to be Lucky Find
