Hi everyone, this is my take on the standard ButcherShop decks - this time featuring Casting Call, in preparation for the soon-to-hit MWL.
The game plan is to force the Runner to pay a heavy price to steal an Agenda thanks to SYNC: Everything, Everywhere's ability and to leverage on the newly widened credit disparity to land a solid Midseasons. Explode-a-palooza can mean the difference is 11!
If they take the tags, flip that Identity and destroy their Resources, or land those Scorched Earths / Traffic Accidents.
The other reason for SYNC: Everything, Everywhere is its 40 card minimum - draw heavily to get economy pieces and Midseasons into your hand to ensure you can quickly leverage upon the Runner's folly!
ICE are super-porous as a result - let them witness the possible fate that may befall them should they keep those tags up.
Foreseen Problems - Film Critic. Am trying to fit 24/7 News Cycles and Breaking News to create a more proactive strategy but that may end up becoming a Near-Earth Hub: Broadcast Center or a Haarpsichord Studios: Entertainment Unleashed deck, instead.
Do let me hear your thoughts!

I think you can basically take a haarpsichord convenience shop type deck as you described and just switch out the ID to Sync and remain very powerful in a different way. Tricks like news team and QPM are even stronger in Sync, and the 24/7 combo can be assembled super quick with the tighter deck. I dont think you can keep stuff like psycho, casting call and restructure if you do this but its a choice you have to make if you want the 24/7 combo. |

1st. Its ability allows consistency and punishment to multi-access in any form, be it on HQ or R&D. It allows agenda flood in Archives and the opponent actually scares to run Archives. 2nd. 24/7 requires a lot of 2/1 or 3/1 agenda so you can easily score out with minimum risk when the Runner stoles your 3/1 (it's only 1 point compared to other 3/2s). Therefore, you have a tons of agendas in your deck. Haarp allows this to happen. 3rd. 24/7 combo requires tight deck space. You do not have room for Hedge Fund, not even Restructure. The only form of money you would have is through clicking for money and 3 Sweeps Week (barring Explode Palooza and Profiteering). That's why running things like Tollbooth is not even an option. You need cheap gearcheck but you still have enough protection. This is also allowed to happen because of Haarp's ability which ignores multi-access. 4th. 24/7 requires you to score agenda out early. In a perfect world you would have a 15 Minutes and a Breaking News, but there are times you need to put 2 agendas down, naked, so the Runner can only steal one, and you can score another without going through the trouble of creating a remote. This is also allowed by Haarp's ability. Therefore, in conclusion, without the ID, the deck should be highly vulnerable and might lose you the game in 3 turns. |
this deck should get absolutely destroyed by Film Critic and Medium dig. Keyhole is brutal and Wanton Destruction as well as Demolition Run/Imp burn you alive.
In this meta, no deck would survive without ICEs and I can make a lot of case for that.
