Deck valid after Sixth Rotation |
Every Italian tournament is for me a synonym of sleepless nights thinking about what corp deck I should play, measuring pros and cons of playing good decks over the one that I would love to. This National was different. I decided what corp I wanted to play a couple of weeks before the tournament: my own version of Mirrormorf.
(Dw, I spent the night awake nevertheless cause "ahm I should play Hoshiko is so strong but ehi my Padma is fun as hell and I've got those wonderful altarts at worlds"...)
Always been a fan Mirrormorf, brings me joy every time I pilot it, being able to play most of my games with more clicks on corp side then the runner is just hilarious.
Things you should know about the deck:
1) You want to proc the additional click/credit EVERY TURN, even when you are scoring.
2) Restore is like your buddy. I decided to cut the 3d just cause on jinteki while testing I noticed that most of the times the additional copy was kinda useless and adding a 3d gtp instead.
3) MCA MUST BE ON. We don't like runners with 4 clicks, expecially in a meta where deep dive is so powerful.
3.1) You don't actually need MCA to score out. Once you have a good remote, spending a turn doing install, advance, subliminal, credit from mirrormorf and advance again with the subliminal click is just as gorgeous.
4) Is worth scoring Luminal with MCA. Expecially when you can score it, restore the MCA and click it once again, leaving the runner with 2 clicks on his next turn.
5) Remember that you can restore anything: in a couple of games preparing for the nats I did: a) restore a Mav to score in a Clot lock, b) restore the agenda that had just been sabotaged to score it and win with 3 cards left in r&D, c) restore a M.I.C. used on the previous turn to protect the MCA against a poor runner that spent almost all his credits to enter that server.
6) Nonequivalent Exchange is actually a good card. We are playing massive ices here, we need money to rez them.
7) A consideration about NGO Front: I'm not playing it but you probably should. Is a massive bait, even more considering we are playing ices that for a carmen cost 7 creds, we advance it for free in Mirrormorf and is restorable for more money if needed. I guess I would cut the hedge funds, playing 2x NGO and the third restore.
Thanks to everyone who took part to this wonderful event, thanks to the organisers for the amazing job, B4ralai for the draft which was funny as always!
Thanks a lot to all the artists for the stunning altarts!
Hope to see you all soon!!
