The Return of the Itinerant Pro-testers (8th Sheffield Regio

Utati 155

I love this deck, it's really scrappy and I do think it's made me better at the game. I've played a lot of crim decks and this one has the least tricks of any of them, despite three of the cards literally having trick written on them. Only having to manage breakers, money and a little multiaccess really gives you room to let your own skill as a player shine in a way you can feel. It also made me respect that there's lots of cards in a runner deck that can have impact like an inside job or boomerang. I would sit with a shibboleth or a sure gamble in my hand waiting for my moment to pounce on an unsuspecting corp like I had a the most busted card in the world, it's great fun.

A note from the deckbuilder, Lostgeek

After playing around with Trick Shot in Shaper (mostly Kit) for a while, I realised that Crim can still very much afford to dump all their influence on Shaper cards. So as an experiment I threw together a Zahya list as it synergises so well with multi access and is a solid go-to for explorative deckbuilding. The core of the idea was Zahya + 3x Trick Shot + some copies of Mary. Everything else was open for debate.

I threw together a list, ended up at like 47 cards and slowly cut away pieces until I arrived at the list that I posted in some places including the Itinerant Pro-testers Discord. I do think that 1 Diversion is the actual correct number for this deck, though I would really love to find a slot or two for Boomerang and/or Inside Job to be a bit more able to react to a fast Corp. But it is surprising how quick this deck is able to get to the board state, where Trick Shot + Cezve + Zahya pay for both an R&D run and a good portion of a remote run as well. Even better if R&D is good to you and Hermes gets to make the remote more accessible.

Congrats to utati for placing well with this!

On the itinerant pro-testers

For those who are unaware, the itinerant pro-testers is an open testing group that anyone can join. I joined a few weeks ago with some other people from GLC and nabbed this list as well as getting some feedback on my own decklists. Unfortunately the activity on there has died down a bit, so I'm shamelessly promoting it so I can have more decks to steal. Big thanks to lostgeek for posting this deck!

P.S. Take the pinholes out, I added them at the last minute and I don't think I used one.

What would you replace the pinholes with then?

@supernaut I think you just take them out and go down to 40 cards.

Yeah, I added two pinholes to go to 42, so just taking them out is the correct move.
