Narrative analysis

PT means Perseroan Terbatas, which translates to "Limited Liability Company" in Indonesian. Untaian means "strings", and is refering to the "silk" theme.

PT Untaian is the company responsible for the invention of Mycele, a silk-derived space material, which is used to build the space elevator in the set.

"Life's building blocks" indicates that this is the first corporation to build space materials out of organic matter.

"The Looming future" is a play on words with "Loom", the equipement used to weave textiles, while implicitely evocating words like "glooming" (this is a corporation after all) or "blooming" (still in the plant theme)

The illustration shows a HQ made with Mycele, and appears "woven" into construction. I think you can also see the foundation of the space elevator in the background.

The effect lets you "grow" your cards over time, rather than producing them through industrial means, adding to the "building through organic components" theme rather well. As for the hand limit condition, I think Jinteki associates hand-trashing with a theme of "Natural selection", and "Bio-engineering through culling of the weak". This would mean that, to achieve "organic self-growth", PT Untaian has to maintain a certain level of "biological purity" in their product, requiring frequent "genetic selection".

Pretty straightforward design, but very elegant !

With PT Untaian: Life's Building Blocks ("PT"), Jinteki has gained back the ability to be super efficient, after the rotation of Saraswati Mnemonics: Endless Exploration.

PT can advance slowly a card, which could be an agenda, Urtica Cipher or Clearinghouse (or anything else), at no click expense. This makes PT a very good identity to play shell games.

When playing shell games, Mitosis pairs well with the archetype, allowing you to use 3 cards from you hand, do something with the last click, and put an extra 3rd or 4th advancement on one card, making the whole thing very threatening for the runner, as making the wrong choice can cost them the game (like runner a Cerebral Overwriter with 4 advancements would do).

But PT ability shines more when combined with La Costa Grid. Once La Costa Grid is on the board, PT can score a 5-3 agenda on the next turn. Pushing the runner to find solution to break ices as soon as possible, of letting the corp score out as early as turn 7.

Every 4-2 agenda is easier to score for PT. Making those valuable agenda more accessible for the corp. This gives a style of play closer to what you would see with Haas-Bioroid: Precision Design.

Getting to trigger the ID is fairly easy, you just install nearly everything that comes to hand. Hansei Review is amazing to help you get to 3 cards in hand and less. Or using ices like Anemone and HafrĂșn.

PT Untaian: Life's Building Blocks is a fun ID that has the potential to be a powerhouse.

The art is nice and reminds us of what Jinteki is. But the best is the quote, which hint at the ability of the identity. Amazing!
