Deck valid after Fourth Rotation |
This deck is only based on System Gateway and System Update 2021. I would suggest to play this after practicing a little bit with the Starter Deck.
A few notes about the deck:
This is not the typical PD that you will see around. It does not include any 3/2 agendas and neither "fast advance" tools like Seamless Launch and Biotic Labor. The strategy of the deck is to trash the icebreakers of the runner, locking them out of our servers and leaving us free to score.
Your economy relies on Hedge Fund, Hansei Review, Marilyn Campaign. PAD Campaign is here either to give you a 1 or to tax the runner 4 if they decide to trash it. I usually install it on an unprotected remote and I leave then the choice to the runner.
Retribution is a key part of the deck since it can be played after a successful Public Trail or after scoring an Orbital Superiority. The main targets here are the icebreakers or other annoying programs. As a note, unless you have a Public Trail in hand, you can discard Retribution for Hansei Review. Precision Design's ability will take care of bringing it back to HQ once you score an Orbital Superiority.
You have other ways to trash programs. But we are not relying on the ices alone to do this job. If we have more credits than what the runner can afford, our Corporate Troubleshooter will take care of preventing their icebreakes from interfacing with our ices for the rest of the turn. Just wait for the runner to approach one of our sentries and then bring the Corporate Troubleshooter in. You need to accumulate credits, waiting for this moment.
About the other ices, Palisade is here to tax the runner and Magnet has the advantage of turning down Botulus. Manegarm Skunkworks is also used to additionally tax the runner while they are trying to steal our precious agendas.
As you have seen, we only play 4/2 and 5/3 agendas. The plan here is to always install/A/A and then A/A/score or A/A/A/score in the next turn. If you have an Orbital Superiority to score the plan for the scoring turn would be to A/A/score (giving one tag)/Retribution. If the runner invest credits to steal an agenda, maybe you could punish them next turn with Public Trail + Retribution.
Mulligan: look for Hedge Fund, Hansei Review or a Marilyn Campaign with an ice. Try to avoid having two agendas in the starting hand.
Update: I am considering playing 2 Regolith Mining License or 2 Nico Campaign instead of the 2 PAD Campaign. In that case, it is mandatory to play them behind an ice because they are an easy trash target.
