As played on Metropole's Stream (https://youtu.be/4m8SWhk85F0?t=3584). A fortunate game in which we managed a turn 3 Regenesis > Bacterial score to apply pressure early on, forcing riskier play that eventually resulted in a flatline.
This is not a good deck at core, but Complete Image has always been a favourite card and I've been building around it for a while. While Hyoubu is the natural home for it, the ID's general uselessness means that Complete Image can be better put to use in an ID with an actually relevant ability.
This was also an attempt to make a 'fair' PE deck, or at least something that is as fair as possible for the ID. We are not playing a shell game or trying to grind through the runner's stack (although, as with any Jinteki deck that builds around net damage, that is sometimes a regretable side effect). Primarily, this is a deck that wants to score out, and employs Complete Image as punishment for steals.
Our agenda suite tries to achieve two aims: be worth scoring, and slap the runner for steals. Bacterial Programming is an obvious choice for any Jinteki deck in the current meta, and pairs well with Regenesis. Tossing the former into the bin to score 4 points with the latter is risky, but at least lets us dig for ways to kill the runner if stolen. Fuji Asset Retrieval is not as safe as the dearly loved Obokata Protocol was, but at least is worth scoring on the right board state and still remains punishing to steal, especially behind an Anenome and/or protected with Angelique. Flower Sermon is the most awkward part of the suite; 4/2's are in a bad spot and lack easy scoring plays without fast advance tools, but managing to grab one can keep R&D safe for several turns (or make HQ a riskier option for the runner).
Assets are nothing unusual. NGO is always a useful tool to bait runs at key moment while getting us money at the same time, Rashida is a default pick in most corp decks, and likewise for Spin Doctor. Snare! makes the deck generally more spiky and becomes very dangerous if you have scored Flower Sermon. Although usually best kept in HQ, or switched onto the top of RnD, don't be afraid to slot it into the remote if you think the runner will go for it. Angelique and Anenome can combine with this to create a very dangerous server that creates breathing room at key moments.
The core identity of the deck is in its choice of operations. Complete Image lands flatlines more commonly than might be expected, but is vulnerable to being trashed. Standard Procedure gives us the information we need to bite into a runner with Complete Image, and even gives us the credits to play it if we're broke. Subliminal Messaging is something of a holdover from when this was a Hyoubu deck, but is still an extremely useful card in many situations. Be wary of playing it when you do not want your opponent to run, however, since it adds further incentive for them to do so.
Ice is sparse and cheap. We have as much as we can fit and afford. PE is traditionally a poor ID and this deck rarely goes above 15 credits, or stays there for long. You will have difficulty keeping out a runner that has set up and is well financed, so use unrezzed ice to threaten and try to avoid letting the runner set the pace of the game. Or just get lucky and flatline them on turn 1 with Saisentan.
