Pre-rotation decklist |
This is currently my favorite runner, Shaper savant Hayley Kaplan.
The idea behind this Stealth deck is simple: Setup quickly using Diesel and Sure Gamble to accelerate your way to Professional Contacts. Once ProCon is setup, you will be setup for an efficient way to better reach your combo pieces. Cache and Aesop's Pawnshop gives you additional boost economy while Kati Jones is designed to assist you through harder breaks. Another key note about having a Cache build is so you have more programs to combo install with Hayley's ability. This allows you to put out additional Cloaks in one click instead of two; efficiency at its best.
This deck runs a little slower compared to the other Shaper babe Kate "Mac" McCaffrey: Digital Tinker, but once set up there's no glacier in the world that can keep you out. The best part about Hayley is her ability to set up a powerful, reliable and credit effective rig extremely quickly. Once you have an economy engine, you can use her ability to double install on your opponent's turn off Self-modifying Code and Clone Chip. Don't be afraid to recycle Cache for your Aesop's Pawnshop if you need the extra economy so you can start powering through iced servers.
Once you have a healthy amount of Lockpicks and Silencers out on the board, your break costs will drop dramatically. Your most expensive breaker in here will be Corroder, but it's the best barrier breaker that we have outside of Cerberus "Lady" H1 because we don't need to worry about recurring it too much. If something starts to tax Corroder too much, put Atman to use to save in the long run. Multiple copies of Ghost Runner are there to help additional breaking potential since you can freely use these to assist in virtually any run.
Overall, you have to think about the big picture: You're extremely breaker efficient once you're set up, but there will be games where you will need the extra speed. This is why I've chosen to keep Diesel's extra acceleration in addition to Professional Contacts, and why this deck doesn't run with any meat damage protection. It will force you to play around it, as having one copy of Plascrete Carapace is often not reliable enough to warrant the deck space. Besides, you can always try swapping Switchblade for Dagger and switch out the Astrolabes for Box-E. The extra cards in hand should act as pseudo meat protection while the extra memory will keep more Cloaks in your rig.
That's about it folks. While this deck will naturally run slower than Kate, it will win out the economy game in longer games due to its ability to break down any server, making any and all late-game remotes virtually useless. Happy hunting, and good luck.
