This is my current modernism deck that I have changed to mirror the 3rd place worlds deck a bit. I am gonna go into my reasoning into all my choices in this deck.
Agendas:
Geothermal Fracking was the choice over Corporate War because #1 the money reward is higher, and #2 if you find yourself in the rare spot of no money it still works.
Hades Fragment is my 3-pointer due to Power Shutdown, cycling Scorched Earth, and anything else that is a smart choice.
Hostile Takeover is autoinclude.
Project Atlas is autoinclude.
Posted Bounty is my experiment that I was originally running only 1, but I like the added consistency of 2. It is a sure way to tag if you can set it up, otherwise I score it as a 3/1.
Asset:
Jackson Howard is a card I have grown to despise because it seems a nigh necessity. But I use it because this deck needs it.
Adonis Campaign is a card I don't want to put in the deck, but since it was in the 3rd place worlds deck, I am giving it a shot.
Operation:
Enhanced Login Protocol came out and I was like OMG MUST PUT IN DECK GG I WIN. I was the first in my limited meta to start using it and it has since been picked by everyone in my meta and a frequent addition to decklists everywhere. It is super powerful and debilitating. Don't believe me? Play it. Try it out. Its rocks.
Hedge Fund is super solid econ. Nuff Said.
Midseason Replacements has been my replacement for SEA Source. I did this because I ran into a deck that was avoiding tags (Decoy). I saw it being used elsewhere and realized the game is heading this direction.
Oversight AI is amazing with Hadrian's Wall or Curtain Wall. Early near invulnerable server then massive credit swing in your favor. If they break it, they also broke their back.
Power Shutdown is a card I am trying out since I have seen a lot of others use it and I have seen its value.
Restructure is really good in this deck but hurts if its the econ you get early on.
Scorched Earth is nearly an auto for Weyland.
ICE:
Changeling is one of my absolute favorite cards. Morph is my favorite of ICE abilities and it has saved my bacon a couple of times. Being able to switch its type is very useful to counter certain builds.
Hive is either amazing or a dead card. Early game its one of the most difficult ice to get through. Later it loses usefulness, then you return it with Blue Sun: Powering the Future to get a full refund. If I end up focusing a Scorched Earth kill due to circumstance, it can be amazing.
Ice Wall is a cheap early ice. Nuff said.
Enigma is a solid early code-gate. Nuff said.
Wendigo is AMAZING. I can be situational sure. But this card has been very good for taxing/stopping/scaring the runner.
Archer is probably the most iconic Weyland ICE. I am only adding 1 due to decksize, and that I don't like throwing my agendas to it.
Data Raven is for the tag. Thats it. BUt it has proven taxing in its own especially with Enhanced Login Protocol on the table.
Lycan is another morph so of course i love it. It replaced my grim. I actually really like this card because how it keeps my opponent off guard.
Taurus has been amazing and is really nasty. It needs to be broken unless you are ok with losing two plascretes.
Overall I love this deck, although I am still making a lot of mistakes. I am not the most best player, but I am focusing on getting better. Any comments or suggestions are welcome!
