This is an iteration of @Santa's Reg Hosh. Which i had previously taken to Frankfurt CO, but was very unimpressed with unity and steelskin. So i tried a lot of replacements for the extra 2 influence and settled on DJ because it is generally good, and no one home because of how aggressively it allows you to play against hhn decks without worry. When combined with Gachapon, that 1 influence spend affords you a lot of flexibility.

The combo of DJ and noh is particularly nice for how well it covers the meta, almost every single popular deck has one of the 2 be very good against them. The big and obvious exception is sportsmetal and the other HB decks. But you are generally well placed to just play the reg hosh game against sports and rfg your nohs and djs while leveraging boomerangs to challenge them early.

I took this deck to the Singapore Online CO for a 4th place spot. (record was 2-1, plus one 241 for which i played corp).

Tournament Report

Game 1: loss against Jai piloting Acme.

Acme is sadly the NBN deck that no one home is least useful against. Jai's deck was running only one hhn. I ended up loosing the noh to net damage from Hydra. And i did a generally poor job of anticipating the strong acme ice and left myself in a position where i could not challenge the remote.


Game 2: win against Krya's ganked ag.

The corp was unfortunate to not have any way to start the game on 8+ creds, so i could be real aggressive early. And because of that aggresive start, the corp felt forced to overdefend centrals, which left an opening to hippo and botulus their remote servers so they could never get back in the game.

DJ pulled a lot of weight here too, ensuring that the lines for the corp to try to squeeze out a victory were squashed.


Game 3: win against Ghost's Builder of Nations. DJ was a really important piece, letting me easily outlast the BoN damage, while not worrying about stealing advanced city works projects.

Even in this meat dmg heavz matchup, no one home would have been very useful as +2 hp against snares, but i drew it late enough that this aspect didnt matter.
