Testing this deck made me discover a lot. While currently Shaper are in favor, it was also the toughest runner faction to work when not using neutrals or influences.
Doing this made me discover a couple of interesting (and probably well known) facts :
For this deck, here is the mulligan plan : Get Endurance.
I tried with Akiko Nisei: Head Case and Rielle "Kit" Peddler: Transhuman but it did not work well. I was always too poor.
But with Captain Padma Isbister: Intrepid Explorer, it works much better. Probably not competitive, but at least viable. Padma allow us to charge Environmental Testing much faster, allowing us to gain a net 6.
If possible, always put Flux Capacitor on an ice on R&D. This will make your Endurance charge like no tomorrow. It is so good that with it, you can usually pass two ices for free every other turn. It is recommended for a corp to trash the ice with Flux Capacitor as soon as possible. That is still a gain for us.
Cyberdelia is a good card with Captain Padma Isbister: Intrepid Explorer, since we can usually break an ice on R&D for free, it bring in some credits, just like Psych Mike. Those are not amazing economy card, but they do their part.
It is unlikely that you'll ever need to push Hyperbaric past strenght 3 and sometime, past strenght 1. With Spark of Inspiration and Into the Depths, you should be able to find programs fairly easily.
There is a total of 13 possible installs to feed Environmental Testing, and you can use Captain Padma Isbister: Intrepid Explorer or Stoneship Chart Room if you need to go faster.
This was a fun deck challenge. Neutrals cards are very important for Shapers and every runners need No Free Lunch. No using influences or neutral cards was quite difficult. The easiest was Anarch.
Enjoy! It is a deck worth experimenting. Cheers!
