Lady Madonna, 1st at Danish Nationals

Lady Madonna, children at your feet
Wonder how you manage to make ends meet
Who finds the money when you pay the rent?
Did you think that money was heaven sent?
Friday night arrives without a suitcase
Sunday morning creeping like a nun
Monday's child has learned to tie his bootlace
See How They Run

—Paul Mccartney / John Lennon

This deck went 4-0-0 at Danish Nationals, earning 1st place. It's also 10-0 in testing, but I'm not sure if that means it's actually good.

I have iterated a few times on this deck idea, and I think it became consistent when I changed extra End of the Line into Malapert Data Vault. We can offer quite a few problems for a runner and can play honest netrunner since we have good money, good ice and a really good defensive upgrade. Scoring out is not unusual, although more commonly we either quickly behind gear-checks or slowly behind Anoetic Void set up a See How They Run score with Malapert Data Vault. Dealing 6 damage is easy, and we can do 8 with a bit more effort. We're often stopped by Steelskin Scarring or Stoneship Chart Room but since we have an actual server that's expensive to get through we can just try again. If opponent has multiple stoneships we can basic action trash one with the tag as well. Lots of options, and it's pretty fun to play.

One interaction I'd like to highlight is Esâ Afontov: Eco-Insurrectionist. When playing the psi game, Esa is incentivised to try to hit the core damage, since that will draw a card to help prevent the kill, and also cause 2 sabotage. In this situation I recommend resolving the Malapert Data Vault trigger first so we don't risk losing the kill combo to Sabotage. If the Psi game ends with core damage, we should probably do sabotage from R&D since we need cards in hand for Anoetic Void for next turn in case we missed our kill attempt.

Also shoutout to the TAIB RWR tier list discounting the Copenhagen meta for SHTR credentials: https://www.youtube.com/live/YJov7lbWkMs?si=R1AWSRIfm7XPX3qf&t=5650 Does this bump it up to B tier?

Hard to crack even when we can see the combo coming. Well done.

Oh I like this a lot

Issuaq if it could proactively kill,

Congrats Tratt :)

There is no competetive meta in Copenhagen atm. Results from events held here do not say much about the current meta of netrunner in general. That is not a burn or being disrespectful at all. Congrats on your win, and it is always nice seeing the fine people from Sweden.

Terrific deck, tried some takes on the see how they run and neurospike / end of the line forks. But this one felt the best by far. Malapert is a lovely include for consistency and flexibility. Like the money, ice and void too 😎

How do you tag them to use ETL ? I'm so confused.

@Dave976 Scoring See How They Run gives the runner a tag, so the easiest kill is to spend our first 2 clicks scoring it - for example Start of turn La Costa, click 1 advance, click 2 Seamless Launch. Then we can play End of the Line on the third click. This deals 6 damage in total. If we didn't have it in hand when we scored but we have a Malapert Data Vault in the server we're scoring from, we can just summon the End of the Line from R&D.
