EA Murder, but I wanted to play Degree Mill (6th @ NANPC SF)

millenomi 6

So: this is exactly the same as ☎️ Dial EA for Murder ☎️ - 4th, 5th, 10th @ EMEA except that half my points are in a playset of Degree Mills.

Is that a correct move? Hm, sure, I could say; and then proceed to talk your ear off about how I feel much better if I have at least some safety net that moderates the flow of points, or how Runners get lost in the minigame of trying to figure out just how they can lose the perfect installables to get six points out of Archives and then get hit with an angry smoker to the face anyway, or how I feel that the econ upswing of our cool friend SaM isn't IMO enough to justify that being the 5/3 of choice.

But:

In all seriousness:

I only did it because I had made alt-arts of Degree Mill and I wanted them in the deck.

The Degree Mill alt-art I played with

That's all. That's all the reasoning I needed, and I got away with it anyway.

(It did steal a game from under Êsa, tho — turns out that, this way, you can't really grab nine points out of Archives if you only have two installables. Shout outs to pj20 for that incredible game; none of the incredibly cool, tight, to-the-click risk-taking that we got through in those forty minutes would've happened if I had been a coward and iced HQ and honestly it was better that way anyway.)

That was a game for the ages! so many emotional swings both ways. I think winning that game + how sick those alts are make it 100% worth it.

You played great & to your outs... those 2 value punitives were absolutely the right call. Touching 4! Degree Mills & only being able to steal one will haunt me in my dreams (jk, but I will remember that game for a long time)

The narrative synergy of Azmari Edtech + Degree Mill + Reeducation is also simply too powerful to ignore.
