Obulent Design [STANDARD]

JankstersParadise 150

3-0 @ ATX GNK - 4th Overall

This is a fragile fast advance deck that takes too much mental energy. It relies heavily on Ob's ability, so prepare to think about flexible cost lines at all times.

It's a drug.

This deck jams; use Ob's ability to create scoring windows, often with Border Control replacing itself with something the runner cannot currently deal with.

Almost all wins I've had with this deck involve an over-advanced Project Atlas. That token is a lifeline that allows you to find an answer when your back is against a wall. While your dream is to use it for a Hostile Takeover for the 7th point, it often grabs other answers, such as an Extract to shuffle R&D, resuscitate your credit pool and find another answer.

I added Tithonium last minute over Archer. I hate sacking an agenda, but I like that Tithonium gives me an option in case I just cleared the Regolith Mining License. I do miss having a 2nd sentry, but the Weyland options aren't great for a deck with this kind of game plan - I'd love a 2nd Drafter but influence is tight.

This deck performed... ok. Despite the 3-0 finish, in all three games, there was ample room to lose: two games had whiffs on fully charged WAKE Implant v2A-JRJ digs, and the other survived 2 looks on HQ with Neutralize All Threats missing a 1/5 on the winning agenda. The only way out was abusing Ob's ability and utilizing every fast advance option presented... also, believing in the heart of the cards.

As always, big shout out to ATX meta - great folks and a fun tournament!

Side Note: I brought Hortum instead of Magnet by mistake, but I do believe Magnet is better, for its price and tutor options, as well as dealing with anarchs.

PS This deck also assumes Clot doesn't exist (thank you current Meta).
