Through the Keyhole

Updated with actual cards thanks to X3r0h0ur. :) Just an R&D access anarch build. First turn keyhole (scheherezade) is more important than a medium (I may go -1 nerve agent +1 medium but I want to be able to threaten HQ too.) since the keyhole let's you look at more cards initially and overall as well as a built in IMP effect if you don't see an agenda. Trash ICE on R&D, siphon corp to keep them from rezzing in the first place, lawyer up (easy marks), and keep the pressure up. Whizzard to run after their drip economy, JackHo, etc. I think keyhole gives anarch a strong chance at making a comeback now but I think they still lack the ability to handle a long game or big ICE.

You don't really need 3 copies of Crypsis, since you can tutor for 'em with Djinn. Personally, I'd go with 1 less Crypsis to get another Medium in.

Also, if you want to handle a long game or big ice as anarch, play Rooks :P

I was actually thinking Knights for big ICE. Either the corp let's me keep the knight, and I get through, or they trash the ICE and I'm fine with that too. Then I would need 3 clone chips or pawns. Pawns are in faction so I go with them but now I need to find slots for the 6 cards. I'm debating -1 crypsis, -1 NA, -1 medium for +3 Knight. Inside what to drop for pawns. I think keyhole is strong enough to replace medium entirely, especially since jinteki is only getting better and more common, in my meta at least. My idea for deck design is "do I want this card opening hand?" If not "when DO I want this card?" "Will that be often enough to leave it in or will something else be better?". While medium is yes to the first, keyhole is a bigger yes and worth more over the entire game. With a well defended R&D access is difficult so the 3 cards you get to see from Keyhole are always better than medium in that, common, scenario imo. I would love to get rooks in here too but I don't see it. Parasite

My phone updated so my previous paragraph was unfinished. :) In short. I think knights and pawns are the better choice for big ICE over rooks. The rooks could work with the account siphon trick though. I'll try and get some play testing in with both versions...once I figure out what to cut. >_

Remember the big big big downside of Keyhole: You don't access cards. So if you do see an agenda, the best thing you can do is trash it, and then run on archives. And hope they don't pull Jackson Howard in between.

I know about only looking rather than accessing with keyhole. Against jinteki I'm counting on it. :) As for JackHo, forcing the corp to use him on my terms possibly when there's only one agenda in archives is fine with me. I love the consistency of keyhole... reusable indexing and imp in one card!?! Yes please!
