The Whizz - Lunch Money Bandit v3

Putty 158

Have you ever wondered why Whizzard: Master Gamer always has 3 bux in his pocket? Raymond Flint wondered this too. He followed Whizzard around for days trying to figure out how this guy always seemed to have cash.

What he found shocked him.

Whizzard is, in fact, a school yard bully. Everywhere he goes, he goes with purpose and that purpose is more money for more food. He always keeps 3 on him because this is how much is left after filling his own gorilla-like figure with the money he steals from those he bullies...and he always bullies those who would take advantage of others.

This deck is simple, "Be a playground bully."

I wanted to try and channel Rache Bartmoss since I think that Whizzard and him share some narrative space and he figured in so heavily into the original Netrunner's narrative. I wanted Whizzard to become so obnoxious that, like Bartmoss, the corporate world had to resort to start a war and blasted him with a railgun in orbit around the earth.

You can get in just about everywhere with Whizzard, you'll always have cash. Keyhole means your opponents will block R&D but Whizzard is prepared with a number of tools that will help you take care of ICE in a number of ways. Like any good bully, he has a choice when confronted with a someone who is tired of being bullied, "Go big or go home." Let's not forget that Whizzard is a master gamer. He knows someone out there is going to come for him eventually.

Apocalypse gets things into archives, Immolation Script will help you get rid of pesky ice should it return. Turntable will help you mitigate 15 Minutes, Astroscript, and other types of tricky agendas with counters.

Plascrete Carapace and I've Had Worse keep you alive. Trope keeps you recycling things as you need to. Spoilers gives you additional ways to get things into archives for immolation scripts. And, should the corp player decide to create a scoring server, Quest Completed lets you get past all of that...like the champion you are!
