Deck valid after Fifth Rotation |
This was the PD "pretty close to the last standard version" or "panic PD", that i build for the first Tournament after the Midnight sun release.
This went WAY better than my runner deck, with a decent 3-2 on the day.
The real problem with this deck is the high agenda density. 10 on 44 cards is A LOT. The good news is that the runner has to steal 4, maybe 5 to win.
But you also need 4 (so no "Steal 5 if you can" gimmick, sadly).
Out with the Advanced Assembly Lines, in 2 Nico Campaign. I traded the inf for the 2x Global Food Initiative with a third Border Control (because I was scared of Deep Dives so one BC can be dedicated to one of the centrals.
The agenda suites needed a 4/2, and I choose the Architect Deployment Test. This is - in my opinion - the right choice because:
If you don't score at least 4 points in the first 4-5 turns it's likely to be game over. From there you have to jam every single turn, keep the runner guessing (and the Boat counter running low).
if you see a Élivágar Bifurcation you have to score it once, it's your 7th point for the win. 2 2/1 scores are useless.
Normally scoring the 2/1 is the game closing turn, unless cloth is around.
Lets' go for the recaps!
Game 1: Win vs Saduro's Hoshiko The deck was fast, and his hoshiko was counting on semi-fixed breaker and multiple (3 at the end!) Leeches. The remote was solid, and centrals were hanging in there.
Game 2: Loss vs AlFlex's Padma. BOAT. 'Nuff said. I scored some 2-pointers but the pressure was too much.
Game 3: Loss vs Wowarlok's Sable When I was set-up on my remote, Wowarlok was top decking all 8 of his points. A shame, really, the deck was performing well. But it's expected with 10 agendas...
Game 4: Win vs Edoardo Brambilla's Hoshiko Uberfast, with a hella-taxing remote. He wasn't able to contest the remote over and over again.
Game 5: Win vs Camilla's Padma. When I saw the BOAT (I was a 4 point) I was expecting a repeat of game 2. I was JUUUUST able to score the 6th point, with a remote that wasn't so ready for the boatness of the boat, but Camilla gave up on running the remote again after a Border Control ETR. Then topdecked the 2/1 for the win.
Shout out to Rebu, and all the Torino crew, congrats to Mr_Pelle for winning the whole thing! that keeps the Milano meta up! See you (I hope) in Milano for a startup tournament!
