ChaoSage 5.0

vesper 237

5.0, since it took a bit of tweaking between the first version (don't ask...) and this (it actually won some games without sucking terribly)

Didn't win any tournaments (made it just last night), but it's fun to pilot, unless you meet an FA deck. Nobody likes those, right? ;-)

Generally, you want to get ProCon on the table ASAP, with a bit of ArmiCode on the side for additional credits. Build up your rig with Dysons, Rabbit Holes. Add e3 to make Sage and Creeper cheaper, and Overmind useful for a longer period.

Your econ is Data Folding and Underworld Contacts, plus a bit of ProCon while you build the rig.

You're not in a rush, let them score the first agenda, and have a Logos on the table before that happens.

Scavenge is there for resetting Overmind, of course.

Same Old Things will help you go Indexing multiple times.

Net Celebrity just because Corps like their nasty Currents nowadays.

Yes, this deck does not have Datasuckers (maybe it should) and Sure Gamble (teh zomg). Plascretes? I look at the burning buildings through my Borrowed Satellites, chums. Fully rolled out, you're at 8 link (and 8 hand size). Let's see the Corp trace and burn THAT. If that fails, well... "Win some, lose some." ;-)

Previous builds included The Supplier, but he proved a bit too slow and expensive. ArmiCodes should be better and more efficient at CredPerClick.

Eager to hear what you think!

First possible edits (via friendly feedback): -3 Dyson Mem Chip +3 MemStrips, to make Sage even scarier.

@vesper MemStrips can only be used for viruses.

Okay, I see the idea, but you've gone about it in a slightly roundabout way.

So the concept here is to get loads of , then enough to trigger the Creeper and Underworld Contact, and then coast out with up to 6 per turn as free income.

Underworld Contact is a nice bit of drip economy, but you need to have at least two to trigger it. You've got 8 things granting link; 20% of your deck. That's a lot of cards to activate a drip economy, when you could just use, say Daily Casts, which is a faster rate for a shorter time. If you plan to use the credits for running, you could use a Cyberfeeder to power any icebreaker, or Lockpick/The Toolbox if you want to keep it in faction.

If you were willing to do that, you could drop the Dyson down to Akamatsu Mem Chips, remove the Borrowed Satellite and Rabbit Hole, and generally leave yourself with a leaner deck.

I'd also drop Logos in favour of Box-E or any of the shaper consoles.

Get some stronger burst economy in there; Stimhack, Sure Gamble... something like that.

Triple Same Old Thing is excessive, given the low number and low power of the events.

Since you've got a load of spare influence, try D4v1d. Yes, it costs you a , but it synergises well with e3 Feedback Implants and will help you bust the really big ICE like Curtain Wall in the Blue Sun matchup.

@frankyanderson: The can only be used to 'store' viruses, but it is still unused , in this case, and as such can be used for Overmind and Sage. The same is true of Deep Red.

@Jashaygot ya thanks for clarifying!

I was toying with a similar idea, though I was thinking of running Dinosaurus as my console. I could rehost Sage on it with Scavenge for extra strength later.

I'd also consider running Datasucker or D4v1d - since advanceable ice are a thing now :)

I'll probably use your deck as a base for mine. Thanks for sharing :)

Yeah, I think Datasucker is probably a necessity here. Otherwise a first turn Icewall--never mind Fire Wall-- just ruins your day.
