Mutated Foundry Twins

I really wanted to play Foundry with Twins, and I loved the Mutate idea with The Foundry; so this is my attempt at merging the two ideas. I've seen other decks that use both, but in my humble opinion, most of those seem to focus too much on super cheap ICE and/or really big ICE. This seems great in the theory-craft world, but just seems bad in a real game.

My focus was to avoid the bad setups this deck can provide as much as possible. So I shied away from bad ICE just because it was cheap to avoid the situation where I needed to protect a server and didn't have a Mutate. I also wanted to avoid having a grip full of expensive ICE and no money (this deck feels short on econ to me, but I'm a money hungry player). I wanted a deck that would at least attempt to survive until I could Mutate into something big.

Let's start with the meat of the deck, the ICE. As stated above, I feel that other decks that I've seen with this idea have used far too many cheap ICE that are bad at protecting simply because they are cheap. Having 3 Quandary and 3 Paper Wall seems really bad to me. Both are bad at protecting a server and Paper Wall which has anti-synergy with this deck. The thought of mutating anything into a Paper Wall would be heart breaking. So I wanted ICE that I wouldn't mind mutating away, or mutating into.

Quandary: My only super cheap ICE to facilitate that possible turn 2 or 3 epic ICE barrier. I only run 2 because I want it out of the deck after a rez one. Plus in my hand it's another cheap target that I know will hit something better off of a Mutate. I've toyed with dropping this for another solid mid ICE like another Ichi 1.0 and Viktor 1.0. But as I said, having the possible turn 2 or 3 Wotan/Janus 1.0 just feels really good.

Eli 1.0, Viktor 1.0, and Ichi 1.0: These are my main Mutate targets since I'm more likely to see them. They're good because they are each of a different subtype, and are reasonably good ICE by themselves. They are either taxing the runner for credits/clicks, resources, or just straight up shutting down a run.

Heimdall 1.0 and Ichi 2.0: These are my solid mid game ICE. They are beefy, but also not crazy expensive. These guys are in there because I don't mind mutating into them AND rezzing them isn't out of the question (8 credits is steep, but not terrible).

Heimdall 2.0: This card I would definitely prefer to Mutate into. I'm running 2 because I would very much like to Twins this card, and if I happen to need to install it, again, 11 credits is definitely going to hurt, but possible.

Wotan and Janus 1.0: These two cards I only want to Mutate into. I'm only running 1 copy of each because I want the chances of drawing them to be minimal. I also don't feel like I need to Twins these since I should be scoring while the Runner sets up to deal with either of these.

So that's my reasoning for the ICE choices. The agenda choices are more of a hodgepodge made up of single agendas that I might want in certain situations. This is most likely a symptom from being a competitive Magic player. I chose to leave out Accelerated Beta Test from the agendas because I'll be thinning my deck of ICE as well as Mutating into it, so it would most likely wiff, or get 1 piece of ICE at most. I don't want to trash anything in this deck except for ICE if I don't have to, so it didn't make the cut.

The ultimate question: Why Daily Business Show over Jackson Howard?! The answer is two part; the main reason being, I do not own a copy of Opening Moves and cannot find one any where (except for $50 online...not happening). A secondary reason, DBS doesn't cost me any clicks and it's good filtering; especially since this deck shuffles a ton, nothing every gets stuck on the bottom (Hades Fragment works well with this point).

Please leave any comments or questions below and I'll do my best to answer them :)

Interesting deck. I am curious about your agenda spread however. I would use Gila Hands Arcology as my one point agenda instead of vet program, and I might try to use Accelerated Beta Test to help rush some agendas out. looks neat though

@rahmal: I did consider Gila Hands Arcology and it could very easily replace Veterans Program. I chose Veterans Program just incase I go up against Valencia, but Gila Hands Arcology would probably be more useful in many more match ups.

How does Accelerated Beta Test rush out agendas? If you mean by thinning the deck, the ID naturally does that without having to trash anything. If you mean by having cheaper agendas to score, it could replace NAPD, but I feel that Accelerated Beta Test would end up hurting this deck more than helping when I score it. Could totally be wrong on that point though
