This deck aims to make use of the synergy between the Cloud Breakers and Multithreader. A challenge with using Multithreader is memory, and by using cloud breakers and The Toolbox you can avoid the need for memory chips which are expensive and tend to be slow.

Using Chaos Theory: Wünderkind allows for pressure in the early game, a slightly less effective middlegame, and an enormously strong late game. The extra memory slot and the 40 card deck are both very useful for this setup.

Early Game: The early game is to get out Magnum Opus and your three breakers: ZU.13 Key Master, GS Shrike M2, and GS Sherman M3. Using Zu instead of Striker to save influence and generally speaking Zu is a more efficient code breaker.

You want your Opus out as fast as possible. Use your Self-modifying Code or Test Run turn 1 or 2 to get that out. Opus is your initial source of economy and helps you get going for early pressure.

Once you have Opus down, put up another SMC and start bringing out your breakers run servers to determine what you need to install first. If you're drawing other programs, stack things on #Personal Workshop. You can also feel free to draw hard and trash stuff because the Levy AR Lab Access lets you get things back to install later if need be.

Either way, early game is about getting initially setup with Mopus and Breakers. Put other stuff on the workshop and install some resources or hardware if you have the money.

Mid Game: Mid game is all about getting The Toolbox out and installed. This can happen off of the Personal Workshop or through Mopus clicking for credits. Try to avoid opening a big scoring window if you can.

Installing the Toolbox is the turning point of your game. The 2 link means that your breakers are zero memory. That means that The toolbox gives you an additional 5 memory slots, alongside the recurring credits and the sometimes useful link. 5 Memory is a massive boost out of a single card! Two CyberSolutions Mem Chip gives you 4 memory for 2 cards and 8 credits, so compared to the 9 cost of Toolbox, this is actually a better way to go.

Otherwise, the midgame is about getting things installed, pressuring the Corp as needed, and getting down those expensive pieces. Use Stimhack if you really need the install money, but usually that's a better choice for boosting into a scoring server.

Late Game: Late game is really just about running running running. Get down your R&D Interfaces and your Multithreaders as you need. Lock R&D! Establish up to 8 recurring credits for running. Datasucker saves you money, especially if you can consistently reduce ICE strength below one of the boost thresholds of Shrike or Sherman. Use your Levy if you trashed programs earlier while you were digging for pieces.

Notable Cards The real MVP here is The Toolbox - the 5 memory it winds up giving you is a huge boost for utilizing Multithreader, Clot, Datasucker, and Parasite. The recurring credits fuel your sometimes expensive GS Breakers. Film Critic, Plascrete Carapace, New Angeles City Hall are all somewhat situational, but they're invaluable when you need them, and it's pretty easy to draw through the whole deck as you need.

This is my first deck that has actually seen quite a bit of success. Potential issue is not getting Opus out early, but 2 Test Run and 3 SMC really mitigate that. Your least favourite ICE are things that are strength 2 or 5, as that costs the extra 2c to boost with the breakers. Most ICE costs 4 or 6 to get past, but the slight cost is assisted by the combo of Multithreader and Opus.

I always appreciate a deck that goes Toolbox. A few questions/comments

  • Parasite. It's an exceptional card for sure, but your rig will be very efficient and I'm not sure a parasite is necessary. Money for toolbox is I think. So perhaps using that 2 influence for another stimhack or 2? Alternatively, a vamp might be a good use of the influence.

  • Indexing. Given that your multithreaders will be likely used up on first run through a taxing R&D (which is always going to be put up against shapers), it would seem that a Maker's Eye would be superior here. After all, with 2 RDI's, you'd be accessing 5 anyway.

  • Definitely doesn't fit the theme, but Lady is so efficient and with 3 clone chips, I don't see you running out of counters in a typical game. Definitely better than Sherman I think, since you're multithreaders will be taxed by other breakers.

@sruman Thanks for the feedback! I find that Parasite is useful for the costs savings of killing ICE. Its best target is a strength 3-4 sentry or code gate. These cost 4 to break with Sherman/Shrike so getting rid of the ICE is advantageous. That strength level doesn't take too long to Parasite down too. It's not critical to the deck though, so swapping it for something else is certainly viable. Any ideas for the 2 influence?

I do definitely like Lady, but I find it not really needed there. Sherman frees up a memory, and Multithreader is not particularly needed with Lady because she's typically cheap anyway. Lady is great, no doubt, but not really the fit here.

Maker's eye instead of Indexing is a good thought, given that the recurring credits will be used for the first run typically. I was using Indexing so that you could avoid accessing 5 cards with ME in a trap filled deck... But maybe that's not entirely needed. Indexing is definitely up for further testing.

If you don't switch to Lady and decide for an all-cloud rig maybe Security Chip as a 1-of is worth a try. It's a one-time +2 strength boost for all breakers for a single run. Against a server with 3 ICE it saves about 6 for boosting strength and when there's only 1 ICE in front of every server you simply don't install it. It's not great, since it's only +2 strength, but it can bring a huge discount on a single run. This can even be your Stimhack run, so you can enter a well-defended server while being broke, opening no scoring windows for glaicer decks.

Overall I like the idea--I love big dumb shaper rig decks.

So, things I don't like: Plascrete Carapace plus NACH/FC is belt-and-suspenders. Lose it.

I've never liked Test Run into Magnum Opus for efficiency. Hard to say what to drop for it, though.

Almost all your programs and hardware could be a Modded play, and some Quality Time could let you aggressively draw the combo pieces.

@Grimwalker Thanks for the feedback! I learned about the additional synergy between Film Critic and New Angeles City Hall yesterday so I cut the Plascrete Carapace for a second Film Critic.

I agree with the Test Run issue too. I cut those and some other cards to include 3 Magnum Opus, 3 Personal Workshop and 2 Quality Time. So far that has been much more efficient and consistent.

@Krams I thought about Security Chip! Thanks for the suggestion. I found it tough to include with the influence cost though. I wasn't sure what to cut. After more tweaking I cut the Parasite for a second Datasucker and second Stimhack. The Datasucker translates into saving money when it can reduce ice strength below the boost threshoulds of the Globalsec breakers. The Stimhack is pure economy when used with the Stimshop archetype.
