Sparrow Brawler: Type Lumina [3-1 Irish Nats]

easterncalculus 769

This is just the tried-and-tested Sparrow Brawler but with:

I briefly tried out Border Control, Jaguarundi and a second Backroom Machinations but none of them seemed super impactful.

This was very reliable and went 3-1 on the day, with my only loss being when I left HQ open against Ken and got Economic Warfare’d multiple times in quick succession. Backroom Machinations was my 7th point in 2 of these games, which was a lot better than I expected. The extra Mavirus made all the difference vs a Deep Dive Sable’s Aumakua which was otherwise making short work of my centrals.

I think the biggest weakness of this deck is the reliance on Seamless. If the runner can ignore centrals, money up, and camp the remote or check it with Pinhole Threading/Falsified Credentials there’s very little reason we should be able to score anything. For this reason we need to aggressively jam out, to force the runner to interact.

Thanks to @anarchomushroom for running the event and being an awesome person. They’ve really reignited a passion for the game across the island, more and more people are picking up the mantle thanks to their hard work. Thanks for the great games on the day @Cobalt @StackVandal @Rose.coloured.boy and @robkelly and thanks to the Belfast meta for being absolute legends, even if we didn’t prepare each other for the Keeling matchup at all. See you next year!
