Pre-rotation decklist |
Hi everyone! This is a creation of mine that I'm really proud of. I've been working on it for months but with all the Whizzards around it was impossible to make it work. Now finally it's the right time! This deck has two win conditions: the first is by fast advance with Mumbad Construction Co. protected by Tour Guide; the second is, whenever there is the opportunity, by hitting with Hard-Hitting News and BOOM!.
Hard-Hitting News can also be used to slow down the runner, so don't miss the opportunity to land it down.
Draw engines are Daily Business Show and Illegal Arms Factory that can help to control the flow of agendas and to retrieve the cards that you need. Also, agenda density is low.
Special Report and Whampoa Reclamation won't make you miss Jackson Howard.
There is also a last little trick: Audacity. I really love this card that allows me to score a Project Atlas from the hand or a Hollywood Renovation with only two tokens on Mumbad Construction Co..
Now let's talk about the tournament. We had three turns:
round 1 VS Smoke: my opponent started very well installing two Paricia but then he became too greedy and I managed to land a first Hard-Hitting News using Consulting Visit that opened a window to score a Project Atlas with two tokens on it. Then after another run, I retrieved the other Hard-Hitting News and the next turn I closed the match retrieving BOOM!.
round 2 VS Fight Club Quetzal: this was a game that I was sure to lose. Salvaged Vanadis Armory is a card that probably will be banned but it's still legal for now. However, I knew I had to rush and that he wouldn't have run in the first turns to draw the cards that he needed and to avoid to be tagged. So i scored a naked Project Atlas and a New Construction with Mumbad Construction Co., i had my economy assets and my draw engine on with Illegal Arms Factory. He was scared that I could close the game before he could carry out his combo and he ran to trash my Mumbad Construction Co. and opened a window to hit with Hard-Hitting News. At the end of his turn, he drew his deck and he was ready to enact the combo. In my turn, I trashed Salvaged Vanadis Armory and Dadiana Chacon to take away some damages and to slow him down. Then with nine clicks he managed to carry out the combo anyway, he milled almost my entire deck leaving only two cards and he ran in Archives where I stopped him with a Vanilla and a Meru Mati, then he ran in my hand with the last click to find BOOM! (one on five cards) but he had no money left to trash it and i finally could kill him the next turn.
round 3 VS Sunny: this was a classic match where i won with my fast advance strategy. I had a Project Atlas with one token on it that i rushed out. Then i used Mumbad Construction Co. to score a New Construction and with the token of Project Atlas i retrieved Audacity to score a Hollywood Renovation with two tokens of Mumbad Construction Co..

Turn 1 runner plays Hacktivist Meeting. How do we deal with it? I think your deck is great, i played 5 games, won 3, but i lost 2 like straight in a few turns. Could there be something like Door to Door+Mr.Stone or Housekeeping here? |

Further changes after testing with banlist: -1 Capital Investors, +1 Executive Boot Camp and if you want to reinforce the HHN+BOOM! option you can go with -1 Illegal Arms Factory (so we keep 1) and +1 Zealous Judge. |
Great Gagarin! I'm looking forward to play against this deck ;) congrats
