My own take on an alternative to the Blue Sun OTG/CG combo (CG up on HQ, forcing OTG to be difficult to remove, as CG means that OTG doesn't get trashed with a successful run on HQ until CG is removed, requiring at least 2 runs on HQ)
Decided to run Titan due to Blue Sun not really providing much benefit other than financial - Adonis Campaign pickup and the OAI/Big Ice combos.
Moved to Titan with a view that Mark Yale will provide some option for additional cash generation.

Thanks for the comments. Firmware is definitely a good option. The main use for Susanoo is to push the runner off HQ runs (and therefore protecting my remote protected by OTG) Swapping Tollbooth(s) for Caprice is an option I was considering, and I take your point about Datapike. Having 1 off Caprice which is not able to be tutored for until I've scored a Project Atlas is indeed a problem I had considered, and as noted, that's also being shared with Susanoo and Turing... chances are that in an average game, I wont have the luxury of an over advanced atlas to do more than 1 card, and relying on having my 2 of them scored is a bit much of a 'hope and pray' game rather than sound tactics. With regards to recursion of Mark Yale, there is an Interns (1 off not really reliable though) plus Architect. Again, I appreciate that I can't rely on either of those options, as most runners will break Architect rather than let it fire. |
I prefer Firmware Updates as an econ agenda in Titan over Hostile Takeover. This agenda scores with 4 tokens, that Mark Yale can cash out for 12 credits and no bad pub. It's also nice to have with space ICE since you can advance the ICE mid-run for a cheap rez (and the same credit value).
You have a lot of 1-off cards that you may not see when you need them. Caprice Nisei is the toughest one, that's enough influence for 2x Tollbooth for a card that you may never draw, or risk having sniped out of R&D. I ran her as a 1-off in Titan and she was unreliable to get in place. Public Support behind a Tollbooth is easier to set up and very taxing for the runner (or easy fuel for Archer and Corporate Town).
I like Executive Boot Camp for tutoring Mark Yale, that is a reasonable and safe way to play him. You may want to consider going to a 2x on Mark Yale, as he is very important to the econ of Titan, and very easy to trash.
The runner will be looking for Mr Yale to trash him because he is both powerful econ, and vulnerable. If you stick with him as a 1-off, you may want to consider some recursion options.
I'm not sure what Susanoo-No-Mikoto gives you that Wormhole and/or Archer doesn't. It seems like a lot of influence for a fairly marginal gain. A runner hitting #Archer is almost always devastating, it's main weakness is the corp can't rez it early, but that is also true of Susanoo-No-Mikoto. The weakest think about Wormhole is it needs other rezzed ICE to target subs on, but you already have Executive Boot Camp to help with this. I would add that Negotiator is an excellent partner for #Wormhole](/en/card/07013) as it is a fairly innocuous ICE with a decent tax and a powerful sub for Wormhole to fire.
I don't really like Datapike. I like Quandary and I like Tollbooth. Datapike is not nearly as taxing as Tollbooth, while also much more expensive to rez than Quandary, without being much more expensive to break. If the runner has a code gate breaker, they will likely get past either Datapike or Quandary without breaking a sweat, but the corp will be 3 credits poorer from Datapike. I think the other two ICE offer much more utility.
