Super Opus Stim Shop - Uroboros Cup 2015 Entry

J-Flex 211

A deck built from memory after playing Sam during some UK Nationals training. Sam's version of the deck got him into the top 16 and while my Valencia deck did poorly at Nationals, I thought I'd opt for this as it is also a super fun deck to play. Made some tweaks, added the Modded as the deck can sometimes stutter early on if it drops to low credits before the Au Revoir Snitch "Super Opus" engine is set up. After that you just run everywhere and make lots of money whilst finding out how you should prioritize the order your real breakers should be installed. I wasn't quite aggressive enough on the day and the deck went 3-3 but that could be improved by being more familiar with the deck as I hadn't played the deck myself much before the day.

Why Dinosaurus? I would think pretty much any shaper console would be better than that in this deck.

@FarCryFromHumanwhy you gotta hate on poor Dino? ;) Dino is in there for Femme Fatale to make a 4 str killer but yeah it's worth trying out if I carry on with this deck. Let me know how it goes if you try it with a different console.

It is emotionally painful not to have the dino in a CT deck, I get you there, but I'm positive it's the right call here.

My thinking is thus:

  • Dino is taking 3 card slots and is unique. Bleh.
  • It's getting you max 1 free, you could get this from Astrolabe
  • It costs FIVE = (
  • It must be installed before Femme, and you want her out ASAP (you have some ability to ignore this as you are running goodbye econ)
  • You aren't running Tyson so it isn't tutorable
  • By the time you are consistently dealing with 4+ str sentries your econ will be up and you won't care

In conclusion, Astrolabe. Maybe Box-E if you can afford the influence. Either way I'd only run a single console and use the other two slots for 2x Modded or Test Run/Scavenge or something.

On that note, Scavenge is probably better for you than Clone Chip, as you are running Cerberus "Lady" H1 and Femme Fatale, and with Test Run it can make some of your rather expensive breakers free.
