the idea here is to use the initial 10 credits to jump ahead with big economy cards, then lock down the HQ with strong barriers and gates. meanwhile put the remote servers Off The Grid and advance the agendas. all of these agendas make a lot of bad publicity, but rather than using card slots to try and get rid of the bad publicity, this deck mitigates it with Ireress and high strength ice.
this is my first attempt at building a Corp deck, so any comments to help improve the strategy are more than welcome!

if I understand it correctly, Hostile Takeover and Profiteering are easy to install, advance, and score in the same turn. so it's not even necessary to have Off The Grid or ice installed for those agendas. that seems pretty fast to me and is easy credits. along with Hedge Fund and Restructure my hope is that the credits should keep rolling in. regarding the random damage cards like Chum, Swordsman, and Vulcan Coverup, thats just due to my inexperience. I'm already making changes to the list based on some of your suggestions, and it looks a lot more solid imho. However, I'm really curious to try Off The Grid and will let you know how it works (or doesnt work). I will repost the list soon. |
Swordsman strikes me as a wierd splash (especially as a 3 of in a deck with limited influence) Are you that scared of Atman? Vulcan Coverup is a bit wierd in a deck that doesn't Kill Why not get two points with Project Atlas the text is even relevant if you are ahead and can over-advance, or just Veterans Program as its not bad for you to remove some of that bad publicity, and you are likely able to use the effect.
The difference between GRNDL: Power Unleashed and Weyland Consortium: Building a Better World is only relevant early, so going for a slow game is kind of anti-synergistic, and the economy seems a little weak (to me at least, but i havent really experimented with using agendas as economy that much) Your early game seems a bit weak, as even with a turn one restructure you can only rez one of your end the run ice, locking only one central. A quick deck (and a lot of the really scary decks are quite quick) can give you a quick disadvantage. If you get Siphon'd early you lose all the momentum of your identity, and if you allow a Medium to lock you down, they can kill of your Off the Grid before you draw them. And with that expensive ice its almost unacceptable to have to secure a remote the normal way. Sneakdoor Beta or Inside Job could also ruin your day, and are not that rare.
If you want big ice i suggest switching to Weyland Consortium: Building a Better World run a load of transactions and/or mix in some cheap early game Ice maybe compress the agendas by running something Bigger
If you like the style of GRNDL: Power Unleashed id say run a lot of cheap ice, and try something more rushy than Off the grid. If that is cheap agendas and some Fast Advance or Tag'n'Bag maybe a very quick Project Atlas to secure an early advantage, or maybe try some Destruction to keep churning out agendas. With so many 1pt agendas and even troubleshooters Archer actually seem really good almost just in the deck as is, even if it suffers from the same slowness as im trying to say i dislike.
But these are only my thoughts. Try out the deck and try to find out what you like/dislike! don't dismantle your deck because I dislike it! Hope i said something you can use ;D
