Kate's Keyhole Dream v1.0

First time publishing a deck -- feedback is welcome. I haven't tested this out, but it seems like a decent starting point.

This deck occurred to me in a dream (that's where the name comes from). So I pretty much have to try it out, right? Is that a sign of too much Netrunner?

Strategy:

The concept is pretty simple: constant R&D pressure using Keyhole. Parasite/Crescentus will be used on low/high strength ice respectively, to make securing R&D expensive. Keyhole will be a workhorse, but Indexing and The Maker's Eye are around when conditions warrant it.

Generally use Legwork late game when your control over R&D is failing. With all the R&D pressure, it should have been difficult for the corp to protect HQ well, and a sudden Legwork could be valuable.

Economy:

Magnum Opus needs to be an early tutor, as this deck is very dependent on it. After testing, I may want to find room for more copies.

Memory:

With Keyhole and Magnum Opus, as well as a full breaker suite and Parasites, we'll need a couple of CyberSolutions Mem Chips.

Breaker suite:

Torch. I considered Cyber-Cypher, given the amount of recursion. I didn't want to be locked out of remote pressure. I think I'd drop modded if I went for Cyber-Cypher--seems like a reasonable approach. Mimic, Femme Fatale, Cerberus "Lady" H1 because the Lady makes Eli sad.

Changes I've considered/am considering:

  • Cyber-Cypher over Torch. There is enough recursion that given that it might be worth saving the 7 . I just am worried about someone scoring behind a cheap code gate.
  • Finding room for more copies of Magnum Opus
  • Hades Shard -- I'm not sure Keyhole is a good enough reason for it, but it should be a surprise in Shaper.
  • R&D Interface over The Maker's Eye. Ultimately I figured most runs were Keyhole, so went with the event-based.
  • Code Siphon -- given the amount of runs on R&D, this one could pay off as there will certainly be multiple levels of ice. But once there are multiple levels, and I can break them, what is my target? Add in the fact that and 2 to remove the tag... just not sold on it.
  • Plascrete Carapace -- meta call
  • D4v1d -- I want this in there for Blue Sun. Lady isn't bad for big barriers, and I do have Crescentus but D4v1d might be better. Possibly -1 Legwork, -1 Hades Shard, -1 Crescentus, +1 D4v1d, +2 Plascrete Carapace?

Honestly, a copy of Cyber Cypher with enough Keyholeing would probably work.

Especially if you whip a Hades Shard into the mix early.

If you're worried about someone scoring out cheap behind a Quandary or something, consider a one-of Atman. With triple Scavenge, you should be able to keep the remotes at least mildly pressured.

@Softman25 That's a thought. My biggest concern is early memory -- if I get Magnum Opus and Keyhole I'm out of memory, and if I haven't seen a mem chip I'm in trouble.

Thinking about Leprechaun but then I'm install order dependent and it will delay setup.
