Pain for you or Pain for me?

ALFlex 24

I and koga were wondering if we could play a vertical PE relying more on kills and scoring instead of mill. After a couple of iterations we ended up with this monster and I decided to take this to the last Turin CO.

This deck was meant to be a pain for opponents, instead was a pain for me.

Goal is obvious: get oppo low on cards like after a Obokata Protocol steal, score Blood in the Water for PE triggers and maybe use Neurospike for kill. Otherwise just score under the protection of Data Loop and Anemone to make Obokata unstealable.

Wake Up Call is here for boat, but even breaking Freedom's Knobkierie wasn't so bad.

Hokusai Grid and House of Knives counter are mostly for Obo protection when you don't want that get stolen or less often, but still relevant, for more kill setup.

In testing this deck felt very good and able to kill most runners thanks to Blood in the Water, Sting! and Neurospike.

In tournament Blood in the Water got stolen pretty much always and runners won games by points with 3 agendas.

The most pain i felt was in a game against Berzelius. He prepared a whole turn with Light the Fire! to burn my remote on click 3 where I IAA an Obokata last turn. Last click he drew 1. I had 2 Blood in the Water in hand so i had the kill! I thought FINALLY IT HAPPENS. But when IA scored the first one and PE triggered in his hand there was the only card that could save him: Steelskin Scarring.

The deck ended up with a score of 2-3, but all 3 losses were pure pain. Expecially because this deck brought me to time more times that i wanted (runners were extremely carefully) having to play probably badly my runner because of it. 1st game ended 7 minutes before time was called leaving me with about 5/7 minutes to play the runner.

I want to thank koga, wowarlok and my local meta for countless matchups in testing and tips, and Berzelius for running that awesome event and weekend with the community.
