See You In The Pit (4-1 at NANPC Montreal)

ant1 2

This is the runner list I played at nanpc montreal, going 3-1 in swiss losing only to Ysengrin on holoman asa, which brought me to 9th place. Lucky for me rumormill who got 8th dropped so I got to play it one more game in top cut, getting a win against Terence on a spiced up shoot the moon. I also played it in a montreal GNK two weeks earlier with a second propeller instead of the pressure spike and went 3-0, beating 3 asset spam nbn decks that were trying to kill me.

The deck is basically a mix of Sokka's Boring Lat and Bridgeman's Interconts list, with the one unusual include being:

MOSHING

Its probly not the best influence spend but I really like the card and it has felt good to play, allowing me to trade my excess Lilypads, Aesops, and SMCs (or any other situational cards) for fresh cards with a nice econ boost. Its a one of so it doesnt affect the gameplan much, but I think everytime I drew the card I was glad to see it and ended up using it.

One issue is I feel like the matchup against HB can be harsh, as they go really fast and you barely have any time to setup the engine. The deck really needs to be on Physarum to be able to contest an early Gatekeeper, I think cut the Fermenter and a Pinhole (no not the moshing) for the physarum and put in an econ card, probly Envo Testing.

I never had to face one but I expect this deck would also struggle against Jinteki glacier. Even tho this has 3 Muses and 3 Simulchips, this deck actually has less recursion for breakers than Sokka's deck, because our recursion is used for econ. Including a physarum will help with that but im not sure thats enough, so I might consider putting in an Ika if I expect a lot of mean jinteki ice, worst case its a 0 cost program that gets you lilypad draw and you can pawn it.

thanks to everyone I played against or talked with over the weekend, everyone was so cool.

and thanks to Andrej and Mattie for running this incredible event and for the great prize support.
