This is my first try to build a Netrunner Deck. I've started playing this awesome game a few weeks ago. Any suggestions on this deck are appreciated. It should work as a fast advance deck with early game NEXT Ice and abilities to help install cards at no cost. Ichi and Eli should help mid and endgame hopefully. Eve Campaign, Melange Mining Corp. and PAD Campaign for the economy. 21 ICE should be enough to make the HB NEXT Ability work. Aggressive Negotiation for finding the SanSan City Grid, or an economy card if needed. 1 Archived Memories to return an important trashed card.
I am thinking of swapping a card for "Domestic Sleepers". This Agenda would help to activate "Aggressive Negotiation" in the early game.

Great idea, thanks for your advice. My first idea would be to remove 1x "False Lead" and the "Utopia Fragment" for 2x "The Future is now". |

Let's talk money, in that, you will struggle with what you have, I guarantee it. Heimdall, Chimera and Next Gold will really bleed away your money. While Chimera is good for stopping non-Parasite Runners, good Runners will always spend a click to run the Chimera server, just to force a Rez and tax you. Eve Campaign is a slow-roll economy, and will take at least 3 turns before you break even, so any trash of her beforehand means you lose money, and Melange, while a nice econ boost, is so fragile that you'll be saying goodbye to it the turn after. Use Breaker Bay Grid with Adonis Campaign and Eve Campaign, it means you can rez them for free, as well as your Ash 2X3ZB9CY when you decide to set up a scoring remote. Let's talk ICE. So you're going for the NEXT Suite; thematically it works, and it's not a bad suite at all! Let's boost it by swapping out Chimera for Mother Goddess. Mother Goddess can only be broken by an AI breaker when she's the only Rezed ICE, but because she inherits the subtypes of other Rezed ICE she, herself, will gain the NEXT Subtype and boost other NEXT Ice. Drop 1 of your NEXT Gold, 3 is an excess, and get rid of your Minelayers; I can understand the reasoning, but it's just no substitute for better ICE; you could always consider Enigma, Quandary, Viktor 1.0, Architect, etc. While we're on that thought, lose the ICE Wall, it's doing nothing for the one influence you're spending on it, because you won't spend your turns advancing it needlessly, just swap it out for a Vanilla that you can rez to stop a Runner when you're literally broke. On the thought of ICE, Turing is very powerful in HB, since Anarchs love to run with the AI Breaker Faust, and Turing does a lot of work, by either burning D4v1d counters while it's on a remote, or forcing the Runner to waste their entire turn to get through. Remove the SanSan City Grid, you have Biotic Labor in faction, and I would consider changing out your 3 point agendas to Global Food Initiative agendas, since it's only worth 2 points to the Runner. A Surprise Marcus Batty could be really dangerous here, since you have ICE that can Trash Programs you can Batty protect a server and then Rock,Paper,Scissors to catch the Runner unaware. 3 Jacksons bud, trust me, always keep him at 3 if you're relatively new. And most importantly, just learn from mistakes and experiment a little. While there's nothing wrong with having large combos in your deck for a laugh, in the competitive scene you'll want to balance knowing 'when' is the Right time to move. On reflection, I would also swap out your ID to Haas-Bioroid: Engineering the Future; Getting a credit the first time you install a card each turn, 'and' 3 extra influence is a greater benefit over getting a potential double first turn. Please give me a shout if you have any further questions, and have fun! What I used to do was run decks that had won large tournaments, just so as I knew what was so good about them and how they felt; then, I'd spice things up with my own flavours. :) |

Now that I changed the ID to Haas-Bioroid: Engineering the Future, I removed a few ICE (and other cards) from the deck to squeeze in a third Jackson Howard, 3x Biotic Labor, Adonis Campaign, Eve Campaign and Breaker Bay Grid. I am not sure if the NEXT Ice are still the way to go, but I will give them a try. The more other ICE I have in the deck, the less rezzed piece of NEXT ICE I will have on the board. What do you think about Mumba Temple for further rezzing economy? I don´t want to publish every change as a new deck, so I wil post the new deck variant in textformat here (or is there a way to link to it?): HB First (20160608) Haas-Bioroid: Engineering the Future Agenda (10) 3x Accelerated Beta Test 1x Chronos Project 3x Global Food Initiative ••• 1x Project Vitruvius 2x The Future is Now Asset (11) 2x Adonis Campaign 1x Aggressive Secretary 3x Eve Campaign 3x Jackson Howard ••• 2x PAD Campaign Upgrade (5) 2x Ash 2X3ZB9CY 2x Breaker Bay Grid 1x Marcus Batty ••• Operation (6) 3x Biotic Labor 3x Hedge Fund Barrier (4) 1x Eli 1.0 ☆ 3x NEXT Silver Code Gate (8) 3x NEXT Bronze 1x Ravana 1.0 2x Turing 2x Viktor 1.0 Sentry (4) 1x Ichi 1.0 2x NEXT Gold 1x Vikram 1.0 Other (1) 1x Mother Goddess 9 influence spent (max 15-1☆=14) 20 agenda points (between 20 and 21) 49 cards (min 45) Cards up to The Liberated Mind |
Welcome to the game! I can't go into specific support right now, but I can advise not to go for Domestic Sleepers only to activate Aggressive Negotiations. Instead, remove the False Leads and Aggressive Negotiations and put in The Future is Now, it's effectively Aggressive Negotiations in an Agenda, and it costs 0 influence.
