Hardware Hayley (Feat. Chameleon) 1.1

UndeterredBird 19

This deck is trying to make the most out of Hayley's ability to install two Chameleons with one click. On its own this is not very strong, but it will get you into some weakly defended servers if you absolutely need to, at a pretty high cost. The idea is to mitigate this cost as you develop your mega-rig with tons of hardware.

Replicator: This card in Hayley is wild! Hayley's ability allows you to install, tutor, install, tutor all for a single for 4. Once you have this out, your rig will come together pretty quickly as you simultaneously install and draw to thin your deck very rapidly. This card is absolutely crucial to have early, so mulligan hard for it. If you don't manage to draw this early, Professional Contacts will help you dig efficiently until you get it.

LLDS Processor: If you have 2x Replicator out when you install this, you will instantly have 6 strength Chameleons that will be able to break nearly every ice in the game. For the super strong ICE (which you will see in Blue Sun decks mostly), I included a Dinosaurus, to bump you to strength 8. This deck cannot break Wotan or an outer Curtain Wall. Oh well, just run somewhere else :P.

Autoscripter: I am actually thinking of taking this out. It is risky to play early game (since it will get trashed). It also sucks against Caprice. It does save you a click every turn you attack but it doesn't help you set up any faster... which is the downfall of this deck. Not sure what to use the influence on though, suggestions are welcome!

Economy: Since you are saving clicks left and right, Armitage Codebusting is a good choice. Data folding will always work since the Chameleons come back every turn. Eventually this deck will make a lot of money, and you can save a click getting those resources out two at a time because of Hayley's ability.

You should get set up in about 5-6 turns and you won't be crippled if it is partially set up. Once you are up, you are king! You just need to be wary of damage on the Corp's turn, since you need to keep those Chameleons in your grip. Thus the Plascrete Carapace, and Feedback Filter.

I, however, am not wearing a feedback filter. In fact, feedback is much appreciated! Let me know what you think.

I'm pretty sure convetional wisdom says never to install 2x Replicator. Say you have two out, and you install an LLDS Processor. You now put the two remaining in your hand. Then you use Hayley's trigger to install a second processor; you triggered both Replicators again, but have no targets. Just install one.

Why run Corroder when you can just run Inti? You'll basically never need to use it and it's there for Wraparound hate. You could run Clot instead... or better yet Scheherazade.

Running 3x Cybsoft MacroDrive and Sahasrara seems like overkill. If you are really worried about being able to find your first piece of a 3x hardware, run Tyson Observatory. It's best to never use it, but if you need to start the hardware train on LLDS or something now, it's pretty invaluable.

If you get rid of the Autoscripters, take Career Fair. It's great with most of your resources and triggers Hayley while removing two cards from your (likely bloated) hand.

Good point about the Replicators! It seems obvious now that you mention it. Only 2 to install then, and trash the rest!

Corroder vs. Inti seems like it will require testing. Clot takes memory so that is no good, but Scheherazade could be great, if you are running every turn.

I also like the rest of your suggestions, great ideas!

Looks nice! I went back and forth on Replicator in mine, but I think you're right - it's imperative to get as many LLDS on the table as soon as you can or the deck can turn into a bit of a lame duck, plus the pressure it puts on the Corp is immense.

I'm not sure about Data Folding any more. It struck me that, without Career Fair help, it takes seven damn turns just to make as much money as a Sure Gamble. I'm considering trying Lucky Find instead. Scheherazade definitely seems worth a go too.

Glad to see someone playing around with this, let us know how it goes :)

Also I think Inti is a bit dangerous, because the Corp then knows they just have to get 3 different types of ICE on a server to make running very expensive for you again. Snowball might be the better shout if you really want to save influence, but I've never been unhappy about Corroder tbh.

You mention not being able to break Wotan or Curtain Wall, but both are breakable... by Corroder.
