Replicating Evolution

Core win condition is flat-line, while allowing some options for semi-safe advancing if flat-line is out of reach.

-7 Agendas total: Fewer agendas so harder to find, high point density for PC - Ice is mostly ETR, while the rest taxes hand size in prep for PC/Neural etc - I chose a lot of ETR as it further reduces the already greatly reduced chance of runners accessing - Notes on specific ICE: -Viper: 3 cred trace, Click Tax, ETR, Str 4, 3 cred cost. Taxes all around -Janus: I always thought Janus was ridiculous for Jinteki because of cost, but with Sundew and Celeb Gift, you can not only rez it, but re-rez it WHEN it gets de-rezed by the runner. yes. when. -Tsurugi: Low strength but hi subroutine amount. So if they're able to break with mimic at least it will still cost them a decent amount of credits.

I like it. RP is by far my favourite ID and I hope some new %/3s to come because I really really don't like executive retreat. Does Punitive Counterstrike work well with only 7 Agendas? Wouldn't two of them be enough?

Does PC work with only 7 Agendas? In my experience yes, mainly because it assures you a big hit whether it comes from the passive abilities of Fetal or from a 3 pointer and PC.

Wouldn't two of them be enough? The main issue with 2 is that a lot of people run plascretes. Having three in your hand is a bit overkill, but 3 in the deck is to ensure that you will have access to at least two relatively quickly so that you can take advantage of a score early.

Executive Retreat Note: I like this agenda since my HQ is the most vulnerable usually. It allows me to install advance x2 and then let it sit there to see what the runner does (if i have at least one PC). If they score it then i'll PC, and if they dont than I can score it on a future turn when my hand needs refreshing. I like to think of this card as the mutant offspring of Jackson Howard(with both abilities) and Sneakdoor Beta :D

I think jackson howard is instrumental in finding PC. My PC deck couldn't find it fast enough. I would take out the vipers for jacksons. I think 18 is fine.

Not a bad suggestion at all. I'll admit that one J.How is a bit odd. My reasoning for only including one is that I haven't personally had a lot of issues with getting a PC without J.How, while i'm getting a lot of benefit from Viper.

I'm thinking of replacing Viper with Inazuma to make Tsurugi/Janus/NK more scary. Once that's out I think I would be silly to not replace that inf with two J.Hows. Any thoughts?

What's the purpose of Paper Wall's? Would Data Mine be a reasonable swap?

In this deck I usually use Paper Wall on remotes to stop attack runs on the economy early game. Once Sundew starts to churn that is going to be one of the runners main targets as it feeds the machine rather well (two is almost broken).

On a more general note I love Paper Wall because it almost assuredly gives you a little advantage when you rez it, given that the the runner will have to pay more to pop it then you did to rez it. In a best case scenario they take their next turn to tutor a Corroder, install it, run on a central, then run on a remote to trash that Sundew. You just made them use 2 cards, 4 clicks, and a bunch of money for one lil ol Paper Wall and Sundew.

As far as Data Mine is concerned, it's definitely a possibility as it adds more net dmg to the equation (always nice), but for my play-style I don't prefer it over Paper Wall since it is not taxing enough. Maybe if it weren't destroyed after the very first run through I would see it differently.
