T.M.N.T.: Targeted Marketing NEH Turtlebacks

After going 12th in Adelaide Regionals (ONE GAME FROM TOP 8 GODDAMN YOU HADES SHARD), equal 1st-2nd in Thursday Night Netrunner, and countless salty months, it's time to say goodbye to my NEH deck. It's not you, it's me. I just want something that can kill now. And the fact that Studios is coming out soon.

CHANGES FROM FAST ADVANCE AFTER THE VALLEY WHYYYYYYY:

Inserting Little Engine, because we need stopping power.

Inserting another Bionic Labor and Daily Business Show, because we need more wombo-combo.

Inserting Targeted Marketing, because saying "Legwork" when you have three cards in hand will net you 10 credits.

Removed Architect, because people got smart.

Removed Hedge Fund, because screw it being in 99% of decks.

FAST ADVANCE IS DEAD THE VALLEY CLOT SAID SO

In the few games I've played in the last few months, all I had to do was say purge virus counters and the runner fell apart. Surprisingly, Targeted Marketing works BETTER than Cyberdex Virus Suite as it also blocks the humble Clone Chip, Legwork or SMC. Or gives you 10 credits to score out anything you want in the next four turns while you're in gamelock. We keep the Virus Suite not for Clot, but for Medium digs. But just in case they do get it out, yes, it does work as a Clot killer.

WHERE IS MARKED ACCOUNTS WHY ISN'T THAT IN

Waste of clicks. I replaced my two with Tech Startup to get my choice of whatever I want (and you get two cards out of it, one when installed, one when you trash that server and get the new card which makes another server if it wasn't protected by ice), and you'll probably be drowning in creds anyway. REMINDER: TECH STARTUP TRIGGERS DAILY BUSINESS SHOW FIRST FOR THE ABILITY DRAW, THEN YOU CAN DRAW FOR TURN. IT'S THAT SILLY.

WHERE IS HEDGE FUND

Would you rather have Hedge Fund or Sweeps Week? With all the money from Pop-up Window, Turtlebacks, PAD Campaign, and Diversified Portfolio, you just don't really need it. I would prefer to take an emergency Sweeps Week over Hedge Fund any day. Switch them out if you want. If you need money, Hedge Fund will cost too much to use.

WHY ONLY 2 SANSAN CITY GRID

Because FFG hasn't released an alt art of it yet and I am not buying another Core Set.

WHAT IS RSVP FOR

Install it over a SanSan City Grid, they can't trash it. Install it in front of a Pop-up Window, it turns into an End the Run ICE in an emergency. Install it over a NAPD Contract and they can't steal it. Heaps of choices and it's annoying to break.

WHERE'S THE SENTRIES?

There is one. It's Uroboros

YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. ONLY ONE?

Well, yeah. It forces them to bring out a sentry breaker and waste time, SMCs and credits. That's it. We don't need more than one. It also functions as a faux-Excalibur. If you want something cheaper, put in Guard.

LOL LICENSE ACQUISITION WUT

Did they just trash your SanSan City Grid? Put it back on the deck for free and make them pay another 5 to trash it! Need a Jackson Howard to get your agendas back in R&D? Easy, just score, install from archives, remove from game! Are they playing Imp? Get your Daily Business Show and Turtlebacks back in action!

WHAT DO I DO WITH THIS DECK I DON'T UNDERSTAND

ICE R&D and HQ with as much tax as possible, score with SanSan, Biotic Labors and at the beginning you can use Wraparound or double Eli 1.0 walls to get out a fast AstroScript Pilot Program, or if they're not checking your servers like they should be doing, just install it blank and pray. It doesn't matter if they steal from you: only that you score 7 points faster than them.

HOW DO I DEAL WITH NOISES AND WHIZARDS AND PEOPLE TRASHING MY ASSETS

Targeted Marketing the Datasucker/Medium/Imp, save your money for the 7 credit Biotic Labor, and use Jackson Howard wisely. Trashing your stuff makes you poor, but it also makes them poor too, giving you enough time to ICE up. It's the only bad matchups this deck has along with Leela, and as always it depends on your meta what cards you put in a deck. Mine doesn't have any Noise or Whizzards, which basically means that most of the time I go unpunished.

WHY ARE YOU STILL RUNNING THREE BIONIC LABOR YOU FILTHY CORP

I take back everything I said about Architect. Now that we have better stopping power in the form of Little Engine, it's better to use that influence on an extra Biotic Labor and draw more of them. It's possible to play double Biotic and then install advance four times a NAPD contract for game in some cases. 12 creds for 2 agenda points. Woo.

I DONT LIKE FAST ADVANCE IT IS RUINING THE META

It is. But it's better than f**king The Future Perfect. Dear god I'll be happy when Film Critic is legal.
