If the Runner uses Eru Ayase-Pessoa to run Archives and breach HQ, can they access an additional card with Mercury: Chrome Libertador’s ability?

Yes, as long as they meet the usual requirement of not breaking any subroutines. Mercury: Chrome Libertador’s ability does not care about the attacked server, only that the breach occurs during a run.

How does Mercury: Chrome Libertador interact with Divide and Conquer?

The Runner may choose to access an additional card from HQ or R&D, but not both.

The Runner encounters Konjin, which has 0 subroutines, and is automatically fully broken. Does this count as breaking a subroutine?

Even though Konjin is considered to be fully broken, no subroutines were broken. Mercury: Chrome Libertador’s ability to grant an additional access can still be used.

Mercury & “Rope-a-Dope”

Merc (☿️ 💨) is a “nothing-broken” reward (like Raindrops Cut Stone), and thus is supported (hopefully) by Criminals' new bypass (eg. S-Dobrado, Laser Pointer, or Curupira), derez (eg. Capybara), and bounce aka. add to HQ (eg. Hermes) effects. Now, to “break without breaking” (eg. Banner), to “suffer without suffering” (eg. AirbladeX (JSRF Ed.)), and to “run without running” (eg. Sneakdoor Beta): this is the philosophy of roping-a-dope.

That is, they want Haas-Bioroid to keep punching those (bio)roided-out abs, until the German heavyweight is too tired to keep the agendas from getting counterpunched out of the megacorp's moloch maw (lol).

Also, Merc is the second Bioroid runner (after Adam: Compulsive Hacker), as well as the second ex-enslaved "criminal" (after the Clone runner Ken "Express" Tenma: Disappeared Clone) to (self?)emancipate.

Their namesake (Mercury/Hermes) is a god of travelers and thieves, of boundaries and androgyny, who can:

move quickly and freely between the worlds of the mortal and the divine aided by his winged sandals, playing the role of the psychopomp or "soul guide"—a conductor of souls into the afterlife.
