This is a 1x autoinclude for any Blue Sun: Powering the Future or Argus Security: Protection Guaranteed decks I build, as I've found it to be by far the easiest way to trash up to 2 troublesome Plascrete Carapaces. This paves the way for an easier flatline win via Scorched Earth. I've even considered splashing it in a Near-Earth Hub: Broadcast Center deck designed to run Scorches, as it has the extra influence to support it, but since NEH can run Flare in-faction, Taurus might not be worth it there.

The icing on the cake it that the effect is still valuable even if you don't care about Plascretes -- after all, sending the Runner's console to the heap (especially big ones like Monolith or The Toolbox or other important hardware (HQ Interface and e3 Feedback Implants come readily to mind) is always enjoyable :)

It's important to note that Taurus effectively costs 8 to rez, unless the runner has less than 4 credits, so its cost is comparable to Flare. —
Well, only if you want to trash 2 pieces of hardware. But they'll probably meet your link strength, so the real rez cost is "5+1 less than the Runner has" —
So this can trash two pieces of hardware? —
Yes, it's a instant trash of Şifr if you pay 8 credits on first encounter :) —
Assuming the Sifr player isn't able to insta parasite it. —

I keep trying to make this card work with a Valencia Estevez: The Angel of Cayambe bad publicity deck, but there are very few efficient ways to lay down the condition. Combine this with HQ Interface and a few viable bad pub generators, though, and you have a way into the corp's hand without even needing to run. Can be a surprise masterstroke, but at the moment it's still too clunky to count on.

Knifed is the best of the silverware cards for a variety of reasons, particularly it's lower price point and the popularity of barriers across all corporations.

My favorite use of this card with Tinkering. You can smash through things easily, and you don't have to invest in the whole silverware suite to do so.

I thought about this. If you have memory to spare, Paintbrush might be a better option. —
Paintbrush works well, but I've been trying this out in a Chaos Theory/Sage deck, which puts memory at a premium. Tinkering allows Sage to bust through stuff it can't normally bust through, so that offers extra efficiencies beyond just the Knifed combo. —

Fairly weak hardware tutor, but beggars can't be choosers. This card can double your chances of getting your console or other essential hardware up and running in the first few turns, which is no mean feat. It really shines in a small deck such as Andromeda: Dispossessed Ristie or Chaos Theory: Wünderkind, where its power is even more noticeable.

I'm currently running this card in a Sage deck out of Chaos Theory - a deck that relies heavily on having Dinosaurus out early, and a deck that also packs lots of cheap hardware into it for other reasons. Not the best deck I've ever built, but surprisingly effective. This card solved the "I'm out of Diesel and still haven't found that stupid Dino" problem for me handily.

Despite the huge Influence hit, this card is amazing in Noise decks. Stack a virus on it, run their R&D with Medium, and remember how many cards they've drawn. When the Corp is about the draw the card you don't want them to have but couldn't get rid of, use the Workshop to play the virus (it doesn't matter which, but I prefer Imp). This triggers Noise's ID ability and sends the offending card to the Archives before it can be drawn. Loads of fun!
